Took me about 15 hours and a lot of skinned knuckles, but it looks like I'll make it!

Excellent news 💪

Does anyone need gas for your camping stove?  A friend of mine got a little worried during COVID and stockpiled 56 canisters 😳

I've just agreed to swap it for 3 hours work so we've got plenty to use and please take some home because I don't want to blow up my shed!

I'll need to check where the heck my stove is!

I'll be in a tent - bought a trailer tent but then realised my tow vehicle (Forester) is still in Belgium! Bugger......

I'm an idiot.

I see Andyrew isn't gonna be there..... Anyone want some Austin 1100 bits or can pass them on to him? Free if charge - just want them used.

Carpet set, couple of front discs and flexi hoses iirc.... I'll see if there's anything else.

Who ever shouts dibs. I'll throw them in the boot.

Speaking of careful,  Ashfield Road which is the only road in is absolutely awful for potholes.  You could loose a Daihatsu in some of them.  Be really careful on the way between the village and the gate.

Probably best I don't bring the Innocenti then...

Rover p6 looking likely

Range rover (the supposed back up ) has discharged its battery and its pointing downhill with water dribbling from the sunroof onto the transmission selector 👍

@catsinthewelder Just for info this website no longer exists

I was planning my route. I've found the address though now:

Ashfield Road, Ditton Priors, Shropshire, W16 6TW

Missing a letter on the postcode. WV6 6TW

Scotty I think you mean it should be WV16 6TW

Being rural, that's still quite a big area.

A more exact copy of Rich's pin is:

52°29'47.6"N 2°36'01.8"W

@Andyrew I can collect these for you and bring them down to the FOD, if you're interested.

What time are people arriving on Fri? I reckon I'll be sevenish...

Also still up for this Blacksmiths place on Sat but could do Cosford if that's where the masses are thinking of attending.

He's not kidding! Proceed with extreme caution.

In a fortunate turn of events, given that we are chronically short of drivers, I now have all of Friday off so I can leave at my leisure. Aiming for mid afternoon ish.

Odd request: does anyone attending SF live or work in or near Warrington?

I have a heavy box to drop off there during office hours (towbar kit) and I'm struggling to find a courier to do it for less than a king's ransom. Annoyingly we'll be passing close by twice this weekend, but only when there's nobody there to receive it. Postcode: WA2 8UF
If anyone can help, beer money for you, or a forum donation in your name...?

Sorry for going O-T!

Sadly, I have made the last minute decision to not attend this year. This weekend is also the Glamis show which I was booked into a year ago but I was going to give it a swerve and attend SF instead. Unfortunately circumstances have changed and I just cannot face another weekend with a 900 mile round trip, Glamis being 150 miles. Next weekend I have to go to North Yorkshire (Ribblehead), the following weekend Ribblehead again but different car, followed by Prescott for Saabfest (@brownnova are you going this time?) and the weekend after I am at Brownhills near Brum with yet another different car.

Will try harder next year, hope you all enjoy and take plenty of photos.

Depending on the overall length of the box, I  an probably take as I live and work in south liverpool and often pass warrington :)

@OP
Count me in for fest on the Friday night and Saturday only please, sadly I have too many things on my plate to be able to do the entire weekend.
What is the current plan for Saturday day activities please? Apologies if I've missed it!

I think there's a faction that is nerding over steam engines in Bridgnorth and a rival team inspecting a blacksmith's underpants.

For my part myself and Master Grogee will arrive mid afternoon and I'll spend an hour or so swearing at shit camping equipment in an effort to protect ourselves from the severe July climate.

Once that's done I'll attempt to make myself a cup of tea, only to discover I've forgotten to pack the milk.

A few hours later, I'll have sufficiently exhausted myself enough to sit in a folding chair, staring into space while I consume a delicious tin of warm, cheap lager.
