Ebay Tat Volume 2 - Sadly deceased.

I'm not sure if this is a bit salty(probably quite), but this is surely summery mingebag motoring at it's finest.

A westfield with a 1.7TD. On the same scale as a diesel MGB, only cool. Sell the wheels and the spare engine, stick some rusty steels on and run around all week on a tank.

Sod it, I'm going for broke here.

Today's newly found internet picture posting is bought (brought?) to you by the word 'replica'

0.1/10 for replication, 29.6/10 for gluing an oversized LPG filler cap to the front wing.

'FUEL PUMP BEHIND SEAT SMELLS'

I wouldn't worry about it, the rest of it fucking stinks.

Thats been on ebay for 5 months at least

I can only assume when seen in the flesh its as rotten as a pear. From memory it has no history whatsoever with it either

Shame, doesn't look that bad.

It's at East Coast Salvage now - big fleet disposal place up the road from here. Not their usual sort of thing, wonder how they came by it?

Yes!!! This is the 2CV-engined version, the best one obv. €400 seems a good buy to me

I'd love one of these. We had a metallic green LN as a runaround at our holiday house in the Auvergne when I was a lad - taught myself clutch control trying to drive the thing round the garden without stalling it. LNA would have the 652cc engine from the Visa rather than the 602cc 2CV lump, so marginally quicker - should be able to cruise at 75 if your ears can stand it.

I took these photos of it back in Feb 2010, It looks really nice from the outset but once you get on your hands and knees you quickly discover that there is in fact no floor.

Yeah, looks brand new.

'NOT USUAL RUBBISH'

Come again?

'NICE PARTY TRICK START THE CAR BEFORE YOU GET THERE'

Presumably to save embarrasment in case anyone sees you.

Genuine bargain alert, I'll give this about one hour tops and it'll be snapped up. Probably by a scrap yard unfortunately if someone isn't quick enough...

Renault 11

Actually, it looks a bit suspect as the wording says 'offers over £100' and also 'I WILL REQUIRE A £200 DEPOSIT AS SOON A CONTRACT OF SALE IS AGREED'.

Now listed £1695 classified. Tch.

Posted

Yeah cheeky twat started it at £100 bin then must have changed it.

I saw that earlier. At £1700 it belongs in the Bargains thread, not even the nicest Turbo would make that much. A Renner 11 has to be one of the most unloved cars of all time, there is LITERALLY no one on earth who likes them enough to pay that much money.

I would and certainly for a mint early turbo - fortunately my budget is about a tenth of that so I'll have to be sensible!

That Galant is scrummy, even for a left hooker. Someone there will grab a bargain. Donny plate on it too.

Posted

That Galant seller is taking the piss. He's trying to get round fees, I reckon, listing at £100, then inviting offers....

Someone should buy it.....or at least try and buy @ £100 then kick up if he won't sell it....

£100 for that Galant? ....

Same seller as the R11 innit, so expect that to leap up to some faintly absurd figure at some point later tonight. To be honest, it looks properly lovely so is probably worth whatever number he pulls out of his hat. It's not like you're ever gonna find another one

Posted

Likewise. If he doesn't sell it for that (and obviously he won't) he's a twat.

Posted

Quelle surprise, it's now £2200

Open to offers though? I honestly don't think that is too far off the mark. As Hirst pointed out he has a 1.1 Mk2 Fezza for £1695, in comparison this doesn't seem that pricey. The days of picking up big RWD Jap saloons for peanuts are sadly over, someone somewhere will be prepared to shell out for it if it's as good as it looks.

Posted

It's possibly worth it but it's the £100 'submit best offer' crap he lists which he then changes to a much higher price that bugs me. Probably some sort of fee evasion nonsense.

Sod it though, not worth getting aeriated about.
