SOR Saab 90, low reserve, in Wooler.

Edit: I'll tack on just one more. Then I promise I'll bugger off and order the stuff off eBay that I actually need/can afford.

One for the 'What Could Possibly Go Wrong?' files; V8 Audi, which looks like it needs a bit more fettling than is being admitted to in the ad.

Thank you Boss, i bet if you got that for £400, spent £1000 on the dents (I doubt it would be that much) you still get £2000 for it when you sold it on.

Looking at the paint on the rear tyre he's hiding horrors allready.

I dunno about 'restoring' it; you'd be there for a while. No, I'd charge around in that just as it is. Or more precisely, once I'd made sure her hull was sound. Which might necessitate finishing the look off with a black stonechip tidemark all the way round. At least parts aren't too much of an issue for these.

That Senator is so unbelievably full of win! Bloody lack of space...

It doesn't look too bad to me...probably need a few jobs doing (and a new set of tyres if the current ones are 9+ years old), but that's true of anything that goes for that sort of money. However, the lack of rear legroom (even if the front seats are in the rearmost position) is quite baffling considering the size of the car.

Think it is British plates on that P5 coupe, which is really odd for a left hooker.

Also, that beige 924 is CLASSY. I'd be happy to own that, and pitch up at expensive places in it looking smug.

And skint.

302 HAC doesn't come up on the DVLA, It could well be fake plates fitted by it's Yankie owner to make it look more authentic.

AC is a Warwickshire code, so the other alternative is that this was once a factory-owned Rover...

To be fair that looks well screwed together, (but not by the seller) I think the current owner probably has bought a new L200 however.

^^^^^^ indeed! It's quite tidy as well. The lad that owns it does classic banger racing so viewing may only be possible before 7pm as he's probably on a tag. 8)

I am ashamed to ask this much for what is a complete wreck. I traveled too far and paid far too much for this on ebay recently. #180744950191 but apparently other bidders thought it was worth it. I am now just trying to recoup my misguided bid, train fare and petrol home.

I'd advise NOT clicking on the wording to copy it as when I tried it did that 'finger pointy' type of thing which suggests it'll open a new link. Funny how he can't be contacted via eBay as it goes to his works e-mail address but he gives another e-mail address to contact him.

I shall be reporting this but I might just use 'ask seller a question' too as he's asked for people not to do that.

Especially with all that crap on the top & bottom of the advert. A scammer, and the car picture was probably nicked from Google images.

It's a Herald! I remember ours feeling like that, 33 years ago when it wore my red L at both ends. They were famous for it, you could buy a kit from SAH to tighten it all up, apparently it make a heck of a difference. I never got to find out, sadly...

I think the most obvious part of that Merc advert being a scam are the DVLA details.

The vehicle details for XMC 834A are:

Date of Liability 01 02 2007

Date of First Registration 05 01 1990

Year of Manufacture 1963

Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2300cc

CO2 Emissions Not Available

Fuel Type PETROL

Export Marker N

Vehicle Status Unlicensed

Vehicle Colour MAROON

Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

^ to be fair, if the RFL expires November next year it might only have just been taxed. This might not yet appear on the DVLA website...
