Delightful bloke in the Rover 600 owners group. Yes the boot spoilers are rare but the number of people wanting to buy one could probably be counted on one hand, I know I certainly don't want to pay £250 for one but he's asking strong money for a part with a tiny market without offering delivery. Now because nobody wants to drive 300 miles and pay over the odds for a part he'd prefer to destroy it in front of everyone.

What a cunt 😂 just ask reasonable money for it or sell it to the highest offer rather than label everyone a delusional timewaster

What an utter child. Unfortunately I've encountered some right old weirdos during Rover ownership.

Wasn't there some complete tool who crushed a dodge charger ( yes that one) and stuck it on YouTube because allegedly he was fed up with timewasters?

Stick it back in the corner and wait a while.

I'd heard stories of idiots reversing up slip roads but never thought I'd witness it until last night. Coming off the M25 at the M11 junction and someone in a Discovery Sport's reversing up the hard shoulder on the south turning!

Had similar on the A41 years ago @Markeh, before it was all dual carriageway, we'd recovered a rover SD1 for a mate to build his Westfield from.

Towing a 16' car transporter trailer with my Range Rover classic, we came round the bend from one of the roundabouts on a short section of dual carriageway, which used to be near Tring, accelerating fairly hard, and found a Renault 25 backing back round the corner in the inside lane!

I threw the Rangie into the outside lane, convinced that even if we made it past, the trailer would get him.

Somehow it all missed, but then I'd got a wildly fishtailing combo trying to put us into the centre Armco.

It took me most of the carriageway to actually get it all back in a straight line,  and we kept said SD1 on the trailer, four up, with one of the passengers my then 3 year old son.

He learned a few new words from me, and the mates riding shotgun

Edit - shows the effect it had on me, I still remember it clearly!

A few years ago me and my dad were passengering with a mate of his in his Merc on the way to a golf day we'd organised (we worked for a local football club and he was the club president).  We got to J11 of the M6 and his mate took the wrong exit and was about to go down onto the motorway - so he reversed back up the sliproad in morning rush hour traffic!  I was in the back and thought I was a goner.

Spanish Pak Choi with Illegal Immigrant on board - any ideas as to what it actually is (my Googlefoo is not finding anything close)

[edit] Child Bride (the Biologist) says The Red Palm Weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus) and it's notifiable

Not sure I fancy the other pak choi that was in the packet either :-(

All part of the "profit over everything" mindset. It's not enough you make money on something, you have to make over the odds at the expense of somebody else.

At the 2cv meeting today I was trying to distribute some free tintin advertising brochures that someone gave me years ago. Oh no, they’re worth money ( I know ) you’ll devalue what I’m selling…. So I gave them to the organisers for raffle prizes. I didn’t want money out of them.

That's the wee fecker alright
I've just spent an hour trying to find out who the f*ck to get hold of at the supermarket chain concerned to tell them that they may have a little bit of a problem but I have been going around in ever decreasing circles such that I have now lost the will to live.

Told DEFRA right off but seeing as t'missus works for them - that's simples :-)
I guess we'll hear something back on Tuesday, maybe.

It is concerning certainly.  Can’t the foreign invaders come during the week? Sounds like a dads army sketch!

About an hour, ago I was sat in one of the restaurants at Heathrow. There was a lot of commotion coming from the other side of the restaurant. This then turned to screaming and started getting closer until somebody pointed at the bench seat I was sitting on and said it just went under there. What did? I asked. A mouse. Okay, well I'm not scared of a little mouse so I'll just stay where I am.

Some staff had a little look around but fortunately soon gave up and left me to my breakfast. I realise it's not desirable to have them near the kitchen areas but poor thing is doing no harm under my seat and I'm trying to eat breakfast so leave me alone. I may have accidentally* dropped a piece of hash brown under the seat in case it was hungry.

Of course it may have been a baby rat rather than a mouse, I didn't see it anyway, but either way why are these idiots screaming?

There was some research done a while ago that reckoned you're never more than 10 feet from a rat.

Or 10 inches if you're in Birmingham 🤣

I saw my first rat in many decades last week, outside Sainsburys.

Times are hard for everyone, the rats usually shop at Waitrose.

I went karting yesterday (electric!?).
2 x fifteen minute sessions… feel like I’ve been hit by a bus this morning, aching all over 😩

I did finish second out of 15 in both though so not bad for someone just shy of 20 stone 😆

My last time was a few days ago, we have some living in the roof void of the old stables and they shin up and down the drainpipes.

They leave us alone as we have 2 JRTs.

We're surrounded by trees and undergrowth so trying to get rid of them is a sisyphean task, we don't disturb them, they don't disturb us. The same with the mice in the Fruit and Vegetable Gardens.

My wife has gone off today visiting a friend in hospital. It’s at least 1 1/2 away , so virtually the whole day gone. But that’s not what I’m grumpy about.

The friend is a devout Christian and goes to a church with a large congregation, a good number of which, she would call her friends. However , she’s been in hospital for at least 6 weeks, and none of the church has been to see her, and yet they’ll all be at the church today , with “praise the lord etc”, preaching all that crap that churches do.

However to my mind, my wife (ironically a pagan), has shown a  far more Christian attitude than any of these hypocrites.

What would Jesus do? Visit the friend , I’m sure.
