Leaky heater matrix or blocked matrix drain?

I have no idea, there's no telltale drips or tracks, or any dampness anywhere else. There is a lot of water lying there, compounded by the fact that the foam insulation has soaked up loads of it. I've started trying to empty it out, but I'm toying with the idea of drilling a drain hole in the floor no putting a bung in once it's empty.

NHS is still brill.

We went to Tesco's. There was a car accident. A smoll shunt up someone's rear. Caused a bit of traffic but we got passed in good time. Got around the corner and a lost looking taxi is curb crawling and then pulls out in front of the car in front. No lights, indication, nothing. Car in front hits the brakes. There was a car accident. A smoll shunt up someone's rear.

Ffs man. Add that to the list of things to do then. Poor car we hit is fucked. I had to pull the geezers rear bumper out to stop it wedging against the back wheel.

Missis' is a bit gutted, pride hurt more than anything else.

Everyone is good. We kept seeing them in and around Tesco's. I said to them 'are you following us? Well bash your trolley...'

I think they were actually following us!

Because I have been up all night watching stupid motor racing (good stuff!) I had a snooze earlier, woke up and let the fdogs out and noticed all the interior lights are on in the XJ, yes, they have been on ever since yesterday when I took the door apart as the bit that turns the switch off is now sat inside the car! It is now turned off with the use of a dog poo bag (new pack -100 of) but the batter will be rather flat and the interior lights were  tad hot!

Still no news on my bank account being fixed.

Also we seem to have developed a leak from our shower cubicle again.

Feeling bored, tired, cold and bored.

Probably need something with a big engine to make it all better.

Anyone want a Galaxy and a 318i Touring?

Fancy that. Same problem here. Seems to be the sealent for the shower pan that's deciding to let water through.

Wish it was that simple. It's loose/poorly affixed tiles in the shower cubicle. What's worrying is the kitchen ceiling below the bathroom was renewed for us moving in due to a leak in the shower. More of a concern is the kitchen wall is now getting damp, and it has plug sockets on it.

Not sure if it's landlord bodgery or the contractors from the letting agents doing half-arsed jobs.

Losing / dropping 80 quid in cash yesterday on my travels.

That was pretty much all my spare money this month.

Fuck, fuckety fuck fuck fuck.

"That's nice ain't it mate?"

"Aye, shame I've got to sell it. Just don't have space to keep them all."

"You take two hundred for it?"

"Sorry mate, you've missed a zero."

Actually saying in my head "Read the advert in every window and make a sensible offer, or go **** off..."

Ask around. I lost £40 cash in Tesco once and got it back when I asked over a week later!

I like to think people do the right thing.

Also if you have a vague idea where theres a chance it might have happened (eg you had your wallet out in a shop/train station), ask them nicely if they would check CCTV? A woman got a fine for picking up a lost £20 after the guy who lost it asked the shop to check cctv . Check with local police too? I think that amount is likely to be reported or handed in.

Good luck!

ETA: I also lost my wallet with £50 and all my cards in just last week. When I got home it had been posted through my letter box. I hope you have similar good luck!

Yeah, I found £30 in the cash machine in a Budgens yesterday and handed it in so there are some honest people out there if you can remember somewhere you are likely to have lost it.

Posted

I've tried speaking to both the places I may have lost it, no luck. It's probable I've dropped it while getting my keys out of my pocket getting into the car.

Maybe, but more likely my own incompetence.

Worst thing is having to scrape together for fuel this month, as I have to do a 60 mile round trip twice each weekend to pick up my son.

My fault for not having a proper wallet.

45€ for leisurely enjoying the French countryside at 88km/h, a bit hefty no?

Is there no rebate for 504's, there should!

Amazon delivery delayed until tomorrow without E-mail. Oh well. Better than have it registered as in stock until you order it.

Sat in passenger seat of the car today, the mrs is driving along about 50mph, accelerating away from a junction. Ahead, the traffic lights turn red and the cars in front are stopping.

She continues accelerating - it's clear she hasn't noticed.

I wait a couple more seconds and have to butt in  "Whoa, they're stopping in front!!!!"

"I KNOW I KNOW" she says, braking hard to stop in time. Arrested development Narrator: "She didn't know"

But apparently I'm rude for shouting and she got the face on with me. Pointing out that by the time I'd have politely said "Darling, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but think it's worth mentioning..." we would have been about 3 feet deep into the back of a fucking Mondeo didn't improve her mood.

About 5 minutes later, the same thing happens again - She looks about 40 feet infront of the car while driving, so every single thing that happens is a complete surprise - hence her going through a set of brake pads (down to the metal) in 8000 miles. I need to try and get her to look at the road properly, but she won't listen to me.

Her driving is absolutely atrocious, I try and point it out as delicately as possible, she goes mega on the defensive and takes it as an insult rather than a concern.

Guarantee it's nervousness caused by your attention to it - my mrs is the same some days. Clearly she's not smashing into stuff when you're not in the car?

You need to find something to break the cycle. Radio, look at your phone, etc. Make sure she knows you are no longer there with a critical eye.

I wonder what her insurance premiums are like. Also, what routes does she generally drive along.....so we can avoid 'em, like.

Treat Mrs Cobblers to a motorcycling course, when I rode a bike daily my road awareness bordered on ESP, that and treating every other driver as a potential fruit loop who will U turn or emergency stop for no reason has served me well.

Eyesight test? Reading your description she isn't seeing or registering things happening at over a given distance.

When did she last have an eyetest?

Mine is exactly the same , friday we got the train to Manchester , left the car at the station so I could have a drink , she'd drive us home

Got back to the car at 11:30pm , she gets in and drives out of the car park on the wrong side of the road , there's no centre line but she's definitely not driving on the left so I have to say something , kaboom , this is the last time I'm driving so you can have a drink , I have to watch though, the last time she drove with me in the car she was approaching a roundabout which had a truck already on it coming from the right

It became obvious she wasn't going to stop so I shoute TRUUCCCKKKK at the top on my voice and she slammed on , stupid thing is she normal stops even when there's nothing on it .

She's never been a great driver but now she's proper shit , but when she's on her own so must be OK , been driving for almost 40 years without any serious accidents , perhaps it's me she's trying to kill

You've probably already done it but, if not, making a Will might be sensible.....

You know that, according to the internet, all Mustangs crash? Usually sideways into things after driver error.
