Found the source of the water leaks in the new bx. That's going to be fun to repair.

Eh, debatable. I doubt anyone pays to use Parkers! If they just said 'please disable Adblock' like Channel 4 etc I wouldn't mind as much.

No, as on they offer a service for free that costs them money to provide, so adverts are used to generate income.

Seems fair that if you don't want to see adverts, then you just pay instead.

Just went on Parkers to look up some specs.

Nope, Parkers require you to disable Adblock, or if you don't want to do that, pay.

FRO, I'm off to Honest John.

To be honest, if Parker's said my car was silver and had four wheels I'd still go out and check before I believed them.

The parkers spec data is actually cap, which is pretty reliable (and expensive). You used to be able to cut and paste the cap I'd number into the website and it would take you straight to the car.

Big shout out to the seller on eBay who sent me completely the wrong spark plugs for my cortina .

Also big thanks to whoever rounded off the head of the oil drain plug causing to have to get underneath and hit it with a chisel while flakey bits of stuff dropped into my eyes

Well reading about the various illnesses that people have posted about makes my problems pale into insignificance although as Neil Young once said "Though my problems are meaningless, that don't make them go away".

Anyway a couple of weeks ago the clutch thrust bearing seized on my C4 VTS, despite it being worth nothing I had it fixed with a complete new clutch. That's not the Grump though, today I was 170 miles into a trip to the Ten Of The Best car show to meet with my C4 UK group pals when the clutch started slipping badly and I turned around and came home.

Obviously I will take it to the mechanic who fitted the clutch to look at, but what could be wrong? Maybe a leaking crankshaft oil seal, although why that should suddenly fail now when it was fine before I don't know?

"seller is not able to respond to your question"

Why TF can't an ebay seller respond to my question??

I had that once, it turned out the seller was an eBay dealer and was away for a defined period even though the listings were still active. PITA.

Another thing on the list of complete fuckups by Stoneacre, I've just checked the service book on my Abarth.

I wanted to keep the history MEGATIPTOP cos I'm a saddo. I even took it for an extra service at half the required interval and paid them £149.48 to change the oil, because I'm an idiot.

They forgot to stamp the book when they did the actual service, so I had to go back and get them to do it. No bother though, cos I had to visit them about every 4 weeks for a year anyway.

Check this out:

Abarth dealer spells the name of their own fucking brand wrong.

Uses an out of date stamp (valid 2016 only)

Stamp was for a defunct company as they were bought out 8 months prior.

Mileage is wrong.

Wrong mileage is written in the wrong place.

The date was also wrong.

So they got the 595 bit right, but fucked up everything else.

It's no big deal, but I'm grumpy because I never wanted to have to go there again, and now I'm going to have to fuck about getting them to sort this out somehow.

I made an offer of £20.00 on some speakers and ariel of a breaker. I put message saying could you give me a price for them ,you have to offer something to get message sent,I think. Gets notification back of a counter offer off seller for £20,000.00 . Does this mean feck off . Got no message back so god knows.

Flight back from Dublin today, guy behind me was the most irritating bastard I've ever come across, acting all plastic gangster when he blatantly still lived at home and had a big star wars toy collection , every so often I get a rage going for quite small things and actually felt like getting out of my seat and throttling the fucker. Home now.

Sorry to hear that Billy, Cancer is a fucking cunt and sadly is currently making it's way round a lovely woman I know.

that reads as Arbarth to me, is that not right?

my grump is that a nice, like, really nice Allegro is coming up for sale, but the domestic management says no....

i think is VERY UNREASONABLE.

VERY UNREASONABLE INDEED.

especially as Kerry keeps harping on about some FJ1200 something thing.

its a motorcycle thing that looks like that crap "Bigtrak" toy from the early 1980's.

like we need another motorbike (almost as much* as we need another car!), she doesn't bother with the flippin' Hardly Dangerous that is already growing moss in the back garden.....

I just got told I was disgusting. Because I mixed JW Black label with Sprite zero lemonade. There was no ice and I didn't feel like water. And I am sitting enjoying it

Went to an amazing place the other week, clean, good staff and excellent food. Weren't sitting myself stupid after that but of course they won't go there as there's no buffet...

Honda, £116 for two track rod ends, (cheap pattern parts do not fit 100% and still knock) new parts dont come with castle nut or lock pin, another 4 quid for those and the nuts off the 'old' track rod are different. to top it off they don't hold these in stock and have to be ordered!

Get both.

Now that's the kind of compromise I can really get on board with!

Fucking Autonet insurance, i had to change my insurance over from the clio, so i just wanted to put the insurance on my Twingo for a while, Autonet wouldnt insure the Twingo as it didnt meet their criteria, i was told that they would be able to insure it via another provider and i'd get a refund, of 25 quid, the current policy was paid in full until the 15th October, The new policy was coming in at more than double I can get the car insured for so I opted to decline the new policy so just go ahead with the cancelation of my Clio policy, I was then told I'd receive zero back as they charge £75 to to cancel the policy. a policy I have to cancel because they wont cover the twingo, however will conveniently cover on a different policy. Do I have cause for a complaint?

Posted

Yes, that stinks. You'll have to go through their internal complaints first but I'd make a point of asking for all the documentation so you can forward it to the Ombudsman if they don't resolve the issue.

Some c*nt has keyed all down the driver's side of the Rover of Doom.  I know it was already somewhat "rat look", but that's not the fucking point.
