It was quite good fun seeing his stupid jabbering face trying to think of what to say though. Apparently he only picks on people who he thinks won't retaliate.

Job well done, if he's that unpopular I'm sure nobody saw anything.

The row between Sky and Discovery. Looks possible that 75% of my favourite channels are about to disappear. The cockney twat on wheeler dealers won't be missed but I do enjoy a lot of the Alaskan stuff, gold rush, deadliest catch etc...

The discovery stuff is the main reason i got sky i was also miffed at the fact that discovery may be going, no doubt if i wanted to cancel my sky they will shaft me for the privilege

Maybe you did handle it the right way after all then.

I don't think I did really, I like to think I'm someone who wouldn't get involved in blazing rows in the workplace and that i'm capable of keeping a level head in these situations (despite saying I wanted to kill the guy before) but I really lost it.

Meh, he deserved it, I just don't want any repercussions.

Parent and child spaces. All taken at Tesco, the last one just in front of us. A couple with no children with them (she may** have been pregnant) so drive round again as it is a major pain in the arse parking in a normal space to get the baby out the car seat and in the pram.

Second time round two spaces side by side so parked up. As we just got set a white 66 plate BMW X3 pulled in with a young lad driving. Got out, looked like he was going to the attached gym. He didn't look happy when I politely* asked him to move.

Came out and put the baby back in the car seat, put the shopping in and a woman got into the car next to us. No children.

Cunts.

Yet another FTP in the Peugeot 106, this time I've not even left the works'carpark. I think a rear brake lining has detached from the shoe and slipped round. I'm currently 215 or so miles from home so

it's call the RAC time.

Today I found out that Halfords air filter section has the WRONG filter listed for the TU3 engine against the BX. So that'll be getting returned.

I also found out what a pig of a job changing a seat is, especially when its gone 1630 on a cold January day is.

On the flipside, the new seat is insanely comfortable.

RAC guy (really sound guy, Bristol born Sikh) turned up, brayed fuck out of the rear drum which unsurprisingly didn't move. Strapped the car to the dolly and dragged me north a wee bit, thus I'm now at Michaelwood services awaiting the next part of the relay home. Will it be RAC or contractor? Prace bets now!!!

Looks a bit deep, but farecla restorer may work.

If it's RAC, almost certainly a subbie

Caught up with the colleague of mine today who reported me for being on the internet and "wasting time" when I was parked up in the yard in my lorry. (I was texting the wife)

I know everyone said to just leave him to get on with it, and not to let him get to me, but I kinda lost my temper with him. (don't worry, no fisticuffs)

I know know know I should have just let it go, but I'm human, OK?

First of all I was uncoupling my trailer when he came into the yard in his truck. He saw me and so he sat at the gate house for 10 minutes waiting for me to disappear. 5 minutes later I caught him walking over to the office with his paperwork. He hurried his walk and even though I was stood right behind him speaking in a raised voice he totally blanked me.

I ended up following him into the office and we had a blazing row in front of all the office bods plus a couple of other drivers. He made up all sorts of accusations about me "being sat for an hour on the phone" which, of course were all total BS, and even if it was true, it's none of his damn business. Various things were said and eventually one of the supervisors separated us.

I got my paperwork from my lorry and when I returned to the office the guy in question had made himself scarce and the various managers had gone home. Can't wait for monday, this fella is absolutely bound to file a complaint against me.

I know I've probably dropped myself in it, and I recon I've fallen into his "trap" of going absolutely apeshit at him in front of an audience so he can claim to be the victim, but like I said, I'm only human. I don't like busybodies and I don't like bullies, even less when it's all directed at me.

I would've just spoken to him civilly one to one if he'd allowed me to. instead  I let him wind me up even more.

Gah!

It was quite good fun seeing his stupid jabbering face trying to think of what to say though. Apparently he only picks on people who he thinks won't retaliate.

Get in son, we had an arsehole at work who used to bully people who let her get away with it. She hated me with a passion as I would never back down when she tried to be a knob, when she left she docked me a days pay for a hospital appointment I had told her about. I got it back the next month and have had great fun taking the piss out of her when she has come back or been on socials. If you let yourself be a doormat then these sorts of twats with really try it on. My guess is that the audience will be laughing all weekend at how the turd met his match.

Yeah, they've been on to me and it's a subbie, been told to expect them at about 10 to 10... that'll be a 2am arrival home, then.

Unfortunately not, mate. It was hard to photograph, but the back door especially is down to the primer.

"Fully furnished" flats for rent, usually means the place is decked out with the cheapest of cheap shite and the white goods are just as bad. Problem being most places seem to be offered furnished, I think there is some sort of tax incentive towards doing it that way.

I've got my own furniture that's all pretty good and solid that I'd much rather not part with...

If you have to organise storage, it may as well be for the landlord's stuff.  Then you can use your own...  ;)

...and the subbie arrived on time, but has just driven away into the distance, as the RAC hadn't told them that the car has a locked-up wheel so it won't go onto his beavertail (or more correctly won't come off at the other end).

So that's another hour to wait for a tilting bed truck to arrive then.

It's because tenants have more rights in unfurnished properties.

Posted

It certainly used to be the case. I think it's because an unfurnished property is seen as a home and a furnished property is seen as digs.

My last landlord freely admitted that that was why he'd partially furnished* our house.

Time for bed.

Go to bedroom to find the top half of the bed is sopping wet.

dafuq?

Roof is leaking - bigstyle.

Brilliant.

Spare bedroom it is then.

But I will have to wake up every hour or so to empty the buckets I have put down or it will go through the bedroom floor and ruin downstairs too.

What's your general line of work Captn, am sort of local, about 30 miles, but can keep ear to the ground.

Furnished properties especially flats have far more market appeal - loads of people don't have a shit load of furniture especially young people renting for the first time after starting work etc.

I don't think the rights thing is true - it's much more hassle for a landlord if they own everything (the cheap shitty bed has fallen to bits, replace it now) vs e.g. my current rented house where the landlord owns the boiler and cooker and nothing else

Unfurnished properties have much more leeway for council tax during void periods too.

You need to make the wife check them thoroughly every 2 days from now on...

apparently most lumps and bumps are found by women!

Don't forget to reciprocate though gents and ladies. We've totally got Oliver Martinez to thank for discovering Kylie's breast lump for instance....

Double DINLT, on escape day as well.
