He's a right plank that Selecta lad, I have never seen him get any of his projects even started, never mind completed.

I'd imagine you'd be right, I can't think where I'd even start to find Fiat 124 bits. With something like that you've got to make do and mend I guess with what you can lay your hands on.

Diesel PT cruisers are suppose to use a gel battery hidden under the passenger seat, except a previous owner of mine has bodged in a lead acid item and there's that weird corroded fur all over the place from spilt acid, plus the carpet has melted.

Anyone know of a place I can get a cheap gel battery from? They seem to range from £150 to £300!

What size do you need? I've got stacks of em, part worns mind

Panda is just as awkward while trying to buy something of him,

I sometimes wonder if he can do his own shoelaces.

OMGHGF on the transit this morning lucky a pinto will run on 2 cylinders to get home.

Pulling it down at the moment hopefully the local motor factors will have a head set for tomorrow am, there goes my chance of a day catching up with paying work....

I have very very limited knowledge of the laws and rules of HGV driving (and I genuinely admire those that drive them for a living) but surely there's some sort of guidance on foreign* drivers parking like wankers?

I've just had to squeeze past some shoulder shrugging knobweasel who could have stopped all of ten foot further and not had the back of his trailer sticking out whilst he got unloaded.

*Bit Daily Mail that soz, but it does always seem to be French or Eastern European registered trucks that seem to do this.

Aaawwwww man now you've got me started. Next up: fuck internet censorship and tracking. Just found out we're well on the way to blocking "unconventional" porn sites. Not going to go into what that does and doesn't cover, but it's nothing illegal - just not straightforward stuff.

So what does this mean? Well, firstly sites will have to apply to be reviewed by the BBFC, a board of old people deciding what law-abiding people can and can't watch in their own homes.

Secondly, welcome to China. First, blocking "unconventional" porn. Next, blocking anything else that might be edgy. How long before the government-run web blockers selectively filter political news? How long before, I dunno, Google.com is blocked so you have to use Google.co.uk and all the celebrities that have had searches removed don't show up? Or Netflix bung the government some cash to prevent access to their foreign servers that quite frankly are 100x better than the UK film selection.

The list of people who will be allowed access to the sites you visit is long and varied too. FFS, the Department for Work and Pensions will have access, so prepare to have your benefits stopped if you've been on a travel website to book a holiday. I can't even begin to imagine why the Food Standards Agency has access to your browsing history, but they will.

Lastly, it just shows that the government's ideas about how the internet works is massively skewed, and that simply signing up for a £30pa VPN gets around all that - something that people into their donkey porn, or home made rocket launchers, are already doing.

What?!?! There's porn on the internet????

You'll be telling me next that YouTube isn't just cat videos and Russian car crashes!!

It's the only way they know...you wouldn't believe some of the "Epic" hgv driving I've seen over here

It's porn today but what will get restricted tomorrow? Going to be quiet round here when everyone who's mentioned moderns r shit gets rounded up.

First they came for the squirters, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a squirter.

Then they came for the face sitters, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a face sitter.

Then they came for the 4 or more finger bangers, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a 4 or more finger banger.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Panda selecta! What a hoot that man is!

He recently bought an early Fiat 124 - which seems to have rust issues! Who'd have thought it, of a 60s Fiat?

Anyway, I have the panels he needs, so I offered them - fairly cheap.

Nope, surface rust on original panels is no good, thanks so he headed off elsewhere.

C'ept there isn't an elsewhere, so back he came. I offered to help by sanding any area he chose, to show original unpitted metal, then re prime. He wanted all of both panels done..at a lower price.

I really can't be bothered. If someone had the original panels I need, I'd certainly not try to keep pissing him off. Especially as I became aware of the plethora of useful bits available.

Nope, so he's bleating on RR, and when he can't get the stuff it'll doubtless go back up for sale, with a dubious description

So, the long term question is - do I want another Fiat 124? Nah! Just can't be arsed.

But if anyone else here needs wings, sills, inner wings etc- you know who has some!

Email him this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supply_and_demand

Lovely job in today . Every single brake pipe on a farmers mazda pick up .

On the plus side I've managed to get every nipple and union out so far 😄

I don't think it requires a graph for someone to figure out the opportunity to purchase Fiat 124 spares might be somewhat limited.

Is he the same penis that posts his dashcam warrior videos / threads about identities for sale on eBay on PH?

Or Tor, which is free.  Until they make that illegal too of course.

In my old house I had a plug hole in my shower, which when I first moved in drained perfectly but over the few years I lived there more stuff went down the plug hole and it became slower to drain until it was un-usuable.

I think this is the way eBay is going.

I seem to have picked up some funny cu_nt on my eBay auction who sent me an offer of 100, which when I rejected hilariously sent one at 110. Just fuck off will you.

I wonder how many grumps on this thread are eBay related? plus 50% I recon.

If you sell pool ball gear knobs then it's probably about 381.9%.

Why when you mention you like cars, do people assume you'll be wanking yourself into a foam over Ferraris. I had it the other day "you'd have been in awe other day, saw a load of Focus ST's' 'would I? I thought. A chicken coop with a Austin Princess in on the other hand...

Just had a phone call that probably means I'm rebuilding rear calipers by torchlight tonight after work on the Meriva!

What was Rod Hull thinking, taking that fucking Emu onto the roof to fix the telly aerial?

I've looked this up, at 4am whilst doing a feed, Rod Hull fell off the roof adjusting the aerial due to the set giving a poor reception during the football. He went on the roof then slipped, falling off the roof hitting the ground via the Greenhouse located at the side of his house. Apparently adjusting the aerial was something he was known to be incessantly meddling about with, in fact there's footage on a documentary that actually shows him doing this. I can see this happening to me with that godforsaken loose guttering at the back of the house so I'd better get this sorted properly.

Could be worse. You could be sat in the house in the warmth of an evening, can in hand, watching a series of old Top Gear episodes on YouTube.

It's not my kind of thing, but seeing as Youtube allows people to post spanking videos I can't see the problem with it

Fair enough, just sit in all day then on the offchance that these sub-minimum-wage-paying shitehawks bother to turn up. That'll show em!

The BMW of much trustyness has been injured.

My beloved partner of many years has spent the last two of them driving round in my works auris hybrid with automatic everything. I have it this week to bump the mileage up because expenses.

Last nigh she departed a place, proceeded down an unlit country road and ran into a black mini that was parked up...........she forgot to turn on the headlights.

Deep Sigh! car was returned home, no injuries, damage to be assessed upon my return tomorrow with report to follow. Thankfully she is fully insured yada yada yada with a very small excess.
