I don't like to say I told you so...🤣

Can't say I'm keen on the grip of those Magnussons, hope it works for you - or take it back?

At least one parking sensor on 159 has left the chat. This is annoying in itself, because it’s a bit of a faff to replace, but even more annoyingly car beeps at you every time you shift into reverse and keeps fucking beeping. Yes, you can turn it off, but the moment you shift into reverse again, it starts beeping warning you of failure over and over again. Yes car, ok, it has failed, I will fix it, can you please shut up. I’m trying to park in a really tight garage that requires 10 point turn, that is annoying enough and requires concentration, last thing I want is as loud BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

An unfortunate casualty of the high winds last night - the 9/11 memorial tree at the office, planted in October 2001 to commemorate the colleagues who died in the attack, was blown down.  The company has brought in a local tree expert to see if it, or at least part of it, can be saved, but it's not currently looking great.  9/11 was way before my time at the company but I have several colleagues who remember it like it was yesterday and who knew some of the people in the New York office who died that day.

Well I'm probably not going to need to use it now I've got Old Faithful back. 😛

Something that just occurred to me there is that on the last day of March I haven't noticed any new 26 reg cars yet.
I assume people are sill buying them and it's just my brain automatically unseeing all the modern SUV blobs on the road.

I can never remember what it is supposed to be.  I can't remember what year my car is and often have to look it up.  Can never remember the reg anyway, but remember my dads Moggie (4567 UP) and his Morris 1100 (302 CVN)  He liked that as he worked in building 302, one of the three radomes at Fylingdales BMEWS.

I drove past a commercial vehicle dealer earlier today and saw a line of 26 plate vans but they don't count if they're not on the road!

I've seen precisely ONE 26-plate car this month.

Most of the ones I've seen are electric, so they don't count either!

Sorry, a bit presumptuous, just doesn’t care.

I've only seen one, a Peugeot something-008.  Definitely seems to be fewer around than there were 75 plates in September.  Although @brownnova is doing his best to up the numbers.

I'd actually say the opposite round here, I've seen 26-plates on most journeys I've done in the last month, although it took a few days to get going.

I refuse to answer that grounds I may incriminate myself.

The ordeal that was Ikea last night (just posted on their FB in response to an April fools post..

Thought it was an early April fools when i went to your Wednesbury store last night or an episode of Beadles About... Let me tell you a story...
Having a general wander round the store and saw that the living room section was being redesigned and that items of ex display stock were in a seperate area with big upto 50% off signage on the walls and dotted about, we saw a Lauters floor lamp that would look great in our conservatory but only had the original price sticker on it, pretty much every other item did have the yellow stickers showing that the items were indeed half price, there was a ginger haired lady working on the area sorting it all out so i asked about the lamp, she confirmed it would be half price but hadn't got round to putting the sticker on it, she found a trolley for us, put it in and said she'd let the reuse/bargain corner people know we were coming and that it would be £25, we continued walking round the store, only to be accosted by member of staff "Emma" who told us we couldn't just but the lamp off display we could pick it up in the warehouse, like we were idiots who don't know how Ikea works... We explained, living room area, Ginger woman - half price, etc, she let us go on our way, further round the store "Emma" appears again and as she starts talking reaches into our trolley and takes the lamp out telling us we can't buy it because it hasn't been PAT tested but we can buy one a full price in the warehouse, she wonders off with our lamp whilst we were still talking...
We go back to Living room displays and Ginger woman is there talking to another member of staff organising the ex display stuff which is all for sale, including other lamps... she is apologetic and seemed to know what had gone on, she had spoken to "Emma" and arranged for the lamp to be down in reuse/bargain corner when we got down there, upon arriving there the lamp was in the back area, one of three members of staff went into the back to get it and came back with a 30% off sticker priced at £35, I explained it should be £25 as stated by Ginger lady, only to be what i can only be described as harranged by the three members of staff telling me all number of things including Ginger lady can't set the prices, it's the computer which sets the price (despite all the whole area upstairs being 50% off) and generally being very rude, talking over me (the three of them) I walked off with the lamp having decided to buy it anyway and was told if i wanted to complain to go customer services... I queued up at customer services and spoke to a young lady who was immediately defensive, had clearly had a call from bargain corner as she knew facts about this i didn't tell her and was incredibly rude and patronising, the only sign of an apology in the whole affair was from Ginger woman...
A call to your customer service centre this morning still yields no sensible approach to this, having logged a call and gone off to talk to others for approx 10 mins, i'm told as it's a complaint about the store i need to go back to the store and speak to the same rude people I spoke to yesterday, the national customer service centre does not deal with compliants about their stores, he couldn't give me an email address or managers name, i made the point that if i'm raising an issue about the rudeness of 5 of their members of staff i would have thought head office may have an interest in hearing about it, but no...
Complaint no 51597440, yours a very dissatisfied longtime customer.

Nurse let me out so I specifically looked for 26 plates and saw four altogether. Three were on almost identical Renault Clios plus this rather sexy one:

There's a fly appeared behind the screen of my 18 month old 65" telly. It's all I can fucking focus on. I think I'm going to have to buy a new one.

Is this what you're going to say to the missus when she asks why you've just bought an 80" one, not that nextdoor has a 75" one?

Tbh when mine arrived I’d barely seen any, but more recently numbers seem to be picking up quite a bit. Mostly Fronteras like the wife’s tbh!
