No matter how hard we try or research tips and tricks, one of my dogs just refuses to stop eating shit and we’ve no idea why she does it. Those two dogs never would’ve guessed how spoiled they were going to be when we adopted them. Hey ho, she’s probably been doing it for a long time before we came onto the scene. 
 

Oh yeah, and I still fucking hate my job. Still “covering” that chap who’s been off since July last year and there is absolutely nothing job wise that is appealing to me on offer right now. It’s either less money than I make now and need a degree and years of experience, or no degree, less money, years of experience. Is it that hard to change career? I’m only 25 so time is on my side (I think) but there isn’t much opportunity for development at all. Feel a bit trapped.

After roughly a decade in IT followed by severe burnout I'm entering my third week as a garage receptionist.

I just want to do something self employed and part time, as I don't need/want loads of money... But what would I do self employed? Fuck knows

I know it's not pleasant @nev_jrbut I did a bit of research on this ( couple of mine do it too) and apparently it doesn't do them any harm, it's us that feels bad/disgusted by it.

I've tried all the pineapple chunks etc, didn't make any difference, the only thing I've found is to pick it up asap.

Edit - oh and I went back to uni at26, I definitely wouldn't have stuck it out before then, never worked so hard in my life, and loved it.

Never actually used the degree I got tho🤔

Do you have a hobby / interest you can develop into a (part time) business ?

Get into adult education and learn new skill ...

Retrain as a teacher - 10 years in IT should get you a good "starter for ten" ...

My Audi coupe Failed it's MOT last week on emissions. It's been off the road for a few years so not currently mot'd or taxed. Booked it in for retest today and it broke down on the way to the MOT! Luckily the mobile mechanic I use down the road from me was free so he was able to tow me back home. The fuel pump relay I bought off eBay (cheap Chinese shite)had failed after less than 2 days. ☹️ Luckily a local motor factors is getting a Febi one for me tomorrow, hopefully that one lasts a bit longer!

People in cars, in general, really are self-entitled nasty arseholes, and I have utterly had enough of them.

While trying to be a bit more concious of not driving 1.2 miles to work, I have tried cycling, only to have about 5% of drivers execute really very dangerous close passes on me, including one utter cunt, working for amazon, who while I was turning right off a main road, overtook me.  I was inches from being under a sprinter, all because some arrogant shithead (with whom I had already made eye contact and he saw my signal and intentions) couldn't wait 5 fucking seconds to allow me to complete my turn.

That, clearly not working, means I have now tried walking.  I have to cross a fairly major road while doing so, and in most instances it's not awful.  Except when you get another shithead drive straight at you because they've come around a roundabout or a bend in the road at the speed of light, and are at a dangerous speed.  Extra points to the utter utter wankers who, when they see a pedestrian crossing the road, then accelerate towards said pedestrian.  Because they can't possibly stand to lose 1 second on the road?

Top marks this evening to the self-entitled little shithead who, on exiting a roundabout where I was already crossing, slowed down to allow me to finish crossing, but then blasted her horn at me, as if she couldn't lose 5mph just to allow someone to finish crossing the road.  That pushed me over the edge, and the empty celebrations tub that I was carrying home got forceably launched at her bonnet and windscreen.  I hope I scared the living shit out of her and she has a good long think about the utter shit that she is.  Didn't stop either, just drove off into the distance.

It is seriously time to put the emphasis on testing the driver at least as much as we test the car.  The condition and quality of the driver is far more important than the condition of the car IMO.

I am absolutely fucking done with modern roads.  Have we seriously become so car-centric that it's impossible to travel a walkable distance to work without driving?

The fact that cars can now take a roundabout at 30mph without much squealing of tyres and flinging themselves into a hedge mean that folk just take them as fast as they can regardless of sightlines.

Even in the car it's not uncommon for me to have pulled onto a roundabout only to have a car enter and bear down on me because they simply don't intend to stop.

Entering the road network on a pushbike feels borderline suicidal...

Well they would work if lanes were closed for safety as per the recovery above. Twice this week the m3 has been closed at 7.30am because of a crash and as there is no hard shoulder, and now roadworks to add them,  means gridlock until 11am on local roads,

and to be a little fair to engineers and designers I think the original plans called for refuges every third of a mile or so snd permanent live response to close the relevant lane.

Our rescue dog is the same, we got her at about 4 months old, shes about 8 months now. she loves nothing more than chomping down on our other dogs shit. He had the squits a few months ago and she came in with her face and head absolutely covered in runny shit, because she'd been sat with her nose under his arse waiting for the goods.

It's just his shit she eats. She loves it. We've changed his diet completely and tried all the other bullshit tips, nothing works. I basically have to watch him every time he's outside and catch his turds with a shovel while she looks on.
