A bit of a waste of time I think. Probably the reason I don't bother going. He reset the gyroscopes in my head by lying on the table and moving my head about. Could take a few days  before the reset completes.

He did do my blood pressure which was quite high. I had just got out the shower 10 minutes earlier and briskly walked to the surgery.

I test it at least once a week at home and it's normally okay. I have to do a record of it three times a day and he's ringing me in two weeks.

Did I mention it's a waste of time and I don't normally go to the drs.

Do you want to borrow my hose pipe? It's about 10 metres long. Come and get it.

just heard that a good friends youngest lad has been killed in a car crash.

some twat in a mitsubishi outlander thing hit him in his MGB head on, SUV twat walked away, Ryan was declared dead at the scene.

we had known him since he was a baby, even buying the black mini off him a couple of years back.

he was 29, leaving behind a wife, toddler and big soppy dog.

Good god thats awful.   An unthinkable thing to have happen to a young family.  The only minor, and it is a minor consolation is the SUV twat now has to live with that and hopefully thinks twice before being a dickhead next time.

Having been a passenger in an accident which killed a pedestrian, in 1986, I would agree that my friend (Bob) was not unaffected by the knowledge that he'd killed a father and grand father even though the coroner and magistrate both ruled he wasn't to blame and it was a freak accident.

Do we know what happened?

Not really, just what has been reported,  it seems that on Tuesday around 5.pm there was a coming together up near Settrington on one of the back roads near Malton.

Mitsubishi man got airlifted to hospital in York, though was discharged later on that night, and Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene.

ryan we know won't have been pushing on cos he had not long finished a full restoration on the MG.

the how and why they came together head on, well that we don't know.

That's terrible news.  It's incredible how a few seconds can have such a drastic effect on peoples lives. :(

Deepest condolences to all those involved.

Just having a vent.

I’m looking for another car. Budget is up to £1500. I need a 5 door and mileage preferably under 100k. It has to have a decent MOT too. I’d really like a Fiesta or a Ford of some sort,  but can I find one in my area? Not a bloody chance. It seems like the used car market has dried up in East Anglia.

Every car I’ve seen has turned out to be a heap, the first one I saw a few weeks ago didn’t feel ‘right’ to me.

I don’t want to travel hundreds of miles to view a car that ends up to be shit.

Mojo/mood/mental health is all-time low, I’m driving myself mad going in circles looking at the same shit on eBay/bumtree/autotrader.

I give up. FFS.

The second hand car market seems insane at the moment. If anything, some (second hand) cars seem to have gone up in price, and more than one dealer is refusing to budge on price even when they must know they're asking top dollar. When you see shit ones for sale locally, it does indeed make you ponder travelling for miles to find something equally crap.

Given the massive drop in new vehicle sales, it's hardly surprising that the second-hand market has gone up in price.  It's just supply and demand.  I suspect it'll take a few years to go back to how it was, if indeed it ever does.

I think its great, my car has stopped depreciating and is actually worth more than I paid for it,  same with the wife's, I know I could sell the both for more than I paid, but would struggle to replace them.

Plenty down here, too. However, it took a little longer than usual for the new registrations to appear this time.

Yes, maybe, but September only just gone. There's loads of them.

Funnily enough I was talking about this yesterday as I saw one on the M1 and exclaimed how few I'd seen.

I know I've not been far but I've noticed 2 of them in a month round here.

I'd normally see more, even just round the village.

There seem to be loads round this way, completely different to 20 plates which were very scarce.

Just been to pick the kids up from my mothers 12 miles away. I saw a speed camera van on the A19 dual carriageway in a layby. Passed it on my way back home and you could barely see it because of the sun. A first for me and a new low for them imo.
