vulgalour Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 I lost my temper rather disproportionately with the owner of the estate agent that manages the house we rent. Naughty words, slammed doors, the works. Not entirely sure where it all came from, tbh and while it's not entirely undeserved that I was cross with him, I was rather more cross than I should have been. I don't know what it was but something just sort of clicked and I couldn't stop myself. Mike thinks its been brewing for a while, lots of house movey stress in my life over the last couple of years, and of course lots of bad experiences throughout my lifetime when it comes to renting and rubbishy landlords/agents. Tomorrow we'll see if we can resolve the problem. It all stems from a lack of communication really, namely the estate agent not responding to us or the landlord to get things fixed. On the rare occasion they do respond, which is usually when Mike and I have gone directly to their offices, they make all the right noises and then do nothing and afterwards deny all knowledge that we reported a problem. This is precisely what started happening at the last house and what prompted us to move so I can see it all repeating again which is stress I could very much do without while I'm trying to keep everything under control. Isn't renting fun?

rainagain Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 I'm trying to be a bit healthier/environmentally friendly by swapping my morning can of irn bru/red bull on the way to work for a vacuum bottle filled with fruit juice. I bought one of these from amazon which is advertised as being 65mm in diameter. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07DJPDZVH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I couldn't work out therefore why it wouldn't fit my cup holder until I measured it, You can see in the pic on the far right, even the box says it's 65mm in diameter! I'm trying to find a replacement on amazon but the amount of listings that don't state the diameter is doing my head in. Any know of a suitable vacuum bottle that will fit a 66mm cup holder?

dozeydustman Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Shitty day at work. Tacho head unit wouldn't read my card so stupid filling the back of the roll out today. Hopefully it's the head unit not my card. Been feeling snotty and headache. Got home, no milk despite buying a 4-pint bottle yesterday afternoon. One of the cats has puked everywhere, the other has again decided a fresh tray of litter is not as good as the floor next to it for a shit so I have banished them both the the great outdoors and locked the catflap. I burnt dinner. Mrs has told me off for locking the cats out and let them back in, the black one (normally the decent and nice one) decided it wanted to puke again. Snotty and headache from this morning has now developed into a full on cold and sore throat. I have no appetite. Today has been a wanker.

Cavcraft Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Idiots with dogs they struggle to control. Some dickhead has got one of those husky type things round here, and the day it pulls the owner over and attacks another dog can't be far off. He struggles to contain it normally, when it sees another dog it goes off it's tits and tries to make a break for it. anonymous user Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Today I had an interview for a job. It's a job that I can do easily as it's a small part of what I used to do. I don't think the interview went very well (the one interviewer seemed a little bored) and I am annoyed with myself for not answering some of the questions more thoroughly. Fumbler Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Warden pouches down here usually come off without a problem if you apply enough water. I don't know, perhaps its because they don't stick them down properly because they're in a good mood! I have seen a car once with a stack of five on its windscreen. Old Mercedes too. What I do know is that once-upon-a-time I had lumps of UHU glue on my wall (from fixing permanent reminder notes to the wall) and it pulled the plaster clean off.
