Amazon are pretty good. One delivery driver left my package in my bin on bin collection day, replacement item arrived next day.

Sorry, not that bad in the cold light of day. I 'should' recover and at least we seem to be getting to the bottom of why I am sooooo very fucked all the time. I like my Doctor: he seems to actually care and has sorted out a few of my problems (at least one major one caused by a previous Doctor!) so I have faith he will get there with me.

 

Interestingly, I discovered something last night while Googling about Restless Leg Syndrome... you can get it in your arms, which sounds odd, but it would appear that is why some nights my arms are so painful I double (or triple!) dose.

Just sent a text to my friend who's mum had radical surgery a few weeks back due to lung cancer. Just asking how things were going. They saw the doc this afternoon and it is the worst possible news. There is cancer in the other lung which is hyper aggressive and very rare. Seemingly only 0.4% of people with lung cancer get this other cancer. Appears to be little research on it yet. They have given her just a couple of months without chemo, 4 to 6 with She is going to try one round of chemo to see how she tolerates it. Poor friend is devastated, she thought this had given mum a reasonable chance. Cancer can go and fuck itself..

We have a factored bit, and a stupid ditch thing that is grass between the road and the pavement. Factors did'nt take over the ditch thing. They cut the main grass and tidy it all up. £25 a month and a job well done. When and i say when the council cut the ditches, they  churn them up and spray grass everywhere. Our council slogan should be "The only think we are good at is being shite" Rant over

There are two UK wide Christmas stations, both have already launched. More local ones will follow shortly.

 

When I stated in the industry in 2000, they wouldn’t get played until about a fortnight before Xmas. It’s now generally 1st December. In America, a lot of stations ‘flip’ to all out Christmas immediately after Thanksgiving.

Depressing shit starts here 

 

Lost Mutha thestag to a rare form of lung cancer and she lost her battle near 5 years ago, she battled it for more or less 2 years to the day from diagnosis, yes she was a proper fighty old bag. ironically she never smoked, was fiercely against it

 

She responded really badly to Chemo so much so that the took her off it after 3 months and used a radical new med. Oncologist was super helpful in getting life insurance to release payment while she was still alive so they could bring forwards their 50th wedding anniversary gift of a trip on the Orient Express. 

 

The old bag fought on made it to her 50th anniversary since first meeting fathathestag and their 49th wedding anniversary and then 2 Christmas' shit she loved Christmas, all of these occasions were milestones we never thought we would make and every single one of them was a happy occasion, filled with family and love.

 

 A year after starting the meds they stopped working and the cancer started to spread again.

 

6 months later she gave up. fucking brave she was.

 

Cancer is a right cunt, there was nothing we could do, she had amazing support from north devon hospice and only in the last couple of days did she go in to the hospice.

 

Watching her die was about as awful a thing as I ever did but we were together fatha my sibs and me. even that was happy until the last hour, we played games, had conversations were happy around her. The hospice staff praised us for creating such a happy environment even though she was out she could have felt it apparently.

I was lucky that I was able to spend so much time with her fixing the damage that 45 years of son and mutha relationships can create, she had very high standards and I am a stubborn bugger.
