Not an engine, but the IB5 gearbox found its way into pre-death knell MG Rovers (2003 on)

Simca used a flathead V8 for their 1950s Vedette,  derived from Ford's unit.

Kit cars often used Ford engines.  My Ginetta G26 should have had a Pinto engine to complement its Cortina suspension but a previous owner had squeezed a Ford Cologne V6 and autobox in to it to prove the club wrong (they said it couldn't be done). The result was appalling. I drove it for a year on the odd occasions when it decided to work, then sold it.

Not *quite* the same thing, but isn't the V12 Aston Martin used in the DB7 based heavily on the Duratec V6, essentially being two of them laid end to end with a common crank and a conjoined head?

ginetta are still using duratech units in their cars, the g40 junior a andd g40 gt5 have a 1.8 (iirc) whereas the g55 supercup and gt4 use the v6

It's not a car but I want to play, so I'll put forward my LDV Convoy camper, which uses a Ford TDDI engine.

brisca formula 2 stock cars have been using ford pinto and latterly zetec units, ditto saloon stock cars and national hot rods (they also used vauxhall redtops), formula ford single seaters have used the 1600 kent since the 60's then used zetec, duratech and now ecoboost engines, the trusty 1600 kent crossflow is still used at club level, great engines

only peugeot diesel

They weren't sold here but the home market got one powered by a 2.0 Pinto (I think) engine for a bit.

Quest 80's coaches (a weird and crap 1980's thing) used Ford diesel engines (and a chain driven gearbox).

Since 1998 Ford and PSA have shared diesel engine tech and between them have powered everything from the Suzuki Vitara to the Vivarail D train

There was also the ISO Fidia. Strange looking thing.

Class 230 DMU (Converted TFL "D" sub-surface underground stock) uses the same 3.2-litre five-cyl engine as the Ford Ranger.

Cue pickup driver saying "my truck pulls like a train" etc. etc. etc.

I once ragged an FBS Census around the Millbrook Apline track for one lap,  that had a Mondeo V6 and was actually quite a good drive

The Ford Essex engine was popular with short run sports cars made by Marcos, Reliant, TVR & a few others.

There's the Rayton Magnum/Fissore/LaForza that sold in the States with a 5ltr Ford V8.

Before I clicked on the link I was going to say MG ZT 260, of course it's already there

Great car though, I'm holding out for a ZT-T version at some point in my future

The AJD V6 and V8 Diesel engines were fitted to LR Discoveries, RRs and RR Sports, Jag XF and XJ, Citroen c6, Peugeot 406 etc.

Excuse the nit pick - various Peugeot 407 models, the 607 and the last Citroen C5 had the diesel V6 but not the 406 which only had a petrol V6.

The article is pretty thorough with some cars I'd not heard of before.

That's exactly right. According to various sources they've made between 500 and 1000 of these so called "Poldofords".

That article in the OP is interesting, I didn't know (or had forgotten) that TVR used Ford engines.

Also various Volvos have a Ford engine I know the C30 2.0 petrol did and of course various Fords used the Volvo T5 engine (as fitted in my C30) such as the Focus Mk2 ST & RS and I'm pretty sure the Mondeo coud be had with it as well
