Lads, lads, lads. Its been ages since I bought a thing, and I LOVE BUYING THINGS. I couldn’t sleep last night, for instance.

I feel great because buying vehicles SOLVES ALL OF LIFE’S PROBLEMS (apart from parking permits).

Anyway, I just agreed to buy a thing, with collection commencing today or tomorrow.

In the meantime, let’s spy on the vendors house on street view shall we? My little bundle of joy is tucked in behind that rather tasty 164.

That Alfa looks a bit smokey, I'd be concerned about its service history if I were you.

Is it a horse riding a broom stick?

As people who like Alfas can be fanatical, I’m thinking behind the 164 is another Alfa, or at least a Fiat. Am I warm?

Well, we're on for a tomorrow morning collection.

The collection mission will be undertaken entirely by bicycle: 13 miles to the opposite side of the world (London).

Strictly speaking, only half of it will.  One presumes you will be driving back in whatever the car is!

Definitely a Fiat then if he is expecting an instant FTP and a cycle back home?

Okay I've called it as a Citroen BX19 Auto Estate. I haven't seen one for sale or anything, but it has to be that. It has to be. I will be livid if it isn't.

Big enough to get a bicycle in the back in one go?

Nobody said in one go.  A quick-release front wheel makes a heck of a difference.

Indeed, plus the smoke cloud doesn’t look big enough for it to be a van or Mk1 Scenic etc.

Slightly curiously, that looks a bit like my road and I’m over the other side of that London, but I don’t think anyone here has a 164.

...and we’ve gone live. Should be a be able to get the bike in the back ok.

I’m hoping something Alfa flavoured. Maybe a 155...

My guess. Fiat Tempra SW, prob in Metalic Red. As most that have survived are mostly that colour.

Okay, I lied. We’ve got one other form of transport.

Sadly the Enley Arms is closed or I’d treat myself to a pint for being up so early
