Derriere ou Arriere?

Arriere is a more direct translation, but Derriere makes for a better double entendre!  ?

I'm a serial Xantia licker, but that's crossing the line. That looks shit.

However, is that an Escort Eclipse in the background of the second picture?

Reddit couldn't reach a consensus on what this is, but maybe AS can. :D

Fairly sure it's not an Escort at least.

I always wanted to know what a fish on four wheels would look like.

My curiosity is satisfied.

I reckon that used to be an Ami6.

Citroen Ami 6 - Może i brzydki, ale jakże kochany

Used Citroen AMI ad : Year 1980, 69999 km | Reezocar

Hmm, I'm not sure. I think the front end on the Ami cuts in deeper between the headlights.

I was going to say Renault 16, but could be the Peugeot.

Pug 304 might be the winner. Looks pretty close.

Deffo 304.
Could even be the same car - before and after?

I guess this is the before shot. Before it did the final 'French thing' that broke the camels back resulting in the owner throwing the bleeping thing down the nearest mineshaft.

Looks a bit like what a 'revived retro' new Hillman Imp might look like after it's been through the bloat-and-big-wheels design process. A previously small car model now the size of a Granada.

I'd say it looks a bit Fiat 127ish.

127 was my first thought too, headlight apertures don't look the right shape for a Peugeot.

That manifold looks like it carries two carburetors, the front bumper looks like something from the '60s or early '70s, and the wheel rim looks like a Citroen one. I'm lost.

I reckon the Peugeot. In any case, definitely not a Fiat, it's got French wheels.

That's a Jaguar SS100,  rebodied by Les Leston. The body was scrapped a long time ago but the rest of the car survives

I'd say the manifold in front of it is an exhaust with the connectors to take hot air to the carb
