I haven't seen any for sale for a while.

The petrol Ambra holds the distinction of clocking the third slowest 0-60 time of all the vehicles I've owned, at 55.5 seconds.  (The diesel one was flat out at 45 so that doesn't count.)

If anyone was gonna own a slower car than a Standard 8, it was you, fam.

Are they allowed on motorways? (Axiam, Ligier etc).

I think 3 wheel Reliant etc aren't but I'm not sure whether 'quadricycle' are also not allowed.

Maybe @LightBulbFun can illuminate us?

I've been on motorways in an 803cc Standard 8.

And I thought my Amazon was slow.

Oh I didn't realise that.

To be fair they're probably not much slower than my Avensis in limp mode yesterday.

Later Reliants will buzz along at 80 if you're brave enough.

I was overtaken by one flat out in the 2cv many years ago - m6 to a 14?  junction eastbound. The 2cv was off the clock.

apart from certain specifics,

as long as the vehicle in question whatever it might be, can legally achieve 25 Mph on flat level ground its legal on a motorway

so that includes  the Ligier in question and Reliant Robins :)

Once went down a few junctions of the M6 in the back of a Reliant Robin to Alton Towers. Can legit claim it was scarier than any of the rides there, bar none.

Almost tempted as a runabout. Never done Cat N stuff before though.

Don’t underestimate the cost of repair parts needed…if you’ve got a donor vehicle in the right colour, you’re laughing but if you need to source everything, it will mount up.

I’ve just done an i40 for a friend of mine with seemingly minor damage but it’s needed a new bumper, wing, various brackets, a very expensive LED headlight etc etc and it’s soon hit 4 figures. He got paid out nearly 3k after retaining salvage so he’s well on the right side but that £500 2011 Kia can easily become a £2000 one to do it properly, even with your own labour where possible.

Sat out in the open for a few years on a driveway in Bancroft Bradford-on-avon, although street view never captured it.

Who said I would do it properly?

My idea would be to kick the bonnet vaguely back into shape and use it as a farm hack.

Would still need to be road legal, though.

In that case, it looks ideal 👍😂

Ah yes that enables me to make a perfectly clear appraisal of the damage.

That's the kind of picture my Auntie Linda used to take on holiday just to finish the spool.
