The future sounds exciting. What other technological wonders will there be?

I thought 2.5 = Glen Miller/Xedos 9 and 2.0 = Xedos 6... But I've been wrong before.

A lad I know bought one the other week and it definitely was but I can't remember what engine his was, will have a look later when my phones changed, there were discussions around parts availability.

Am I right in thinking that the 2.5 wasn't a Miller engine?

Strong money though but the interior isn't migrane inducing which is nice for a 1990s Japanese car.

Correct.  2.5 was a bog standard v6. The Miller was a 2.3....

This. The Xedos 6's 2.0 was actually available in the 9 as well but why would you. Extremely optimistic price, isn't that even the car that was unsuccessfully flipped for 1300 quid before? If yes, why is it 3 grand now?!

Banger-(flipping)-nomics. The Thatcher-cow’s dream: trade up, trade on…

I was wondering if that was the earlier one?

Anyways - how about a £495 C5 Auto in Stamford sounds like proper AutoShite

That is the ultimate panel van.  Ideally it would have a 2 litre V4* rather than a pinto but let us all thank the Transit  gods that it doesn’t have that fucking hateful DI Diesel that ruined most of the mk3s.

*Yes I know that the mk3 never was made with a V4.

There is a slight tap from the engine (suspect lifter or something alike)has got better through the day

Ah... But still might get away with at home rebuild.

Then you will find 1/2" of filler here and there. Looks like the front screen is cracked too.

But still if it was a 55 Chevy the price would be through the roof.

Also that is if the listing isn't a scam.

This is the one Craigs supposedly bought.

I honestly don't know much about them but can't help but worry that if this one breaks, it might be cheaper to pay £3k for the other one compared to getting this repaired.

Ad basically screams that the gearbox is fubared.

Your reading-between-the-lines skillz are obviously superior to my own if you managed to get that from the advert.

I think certain suspension parts like shock absorbers are unobtainable but that's part of the fun.

Furthermore, going to a Ford commercial dealer in 1991 and telling them you actually wanted a Transit that runs on petrol is on par with going to Mercedes, telling them you want an SL500 and requesting they remove the engine and replace it with a photograph of Sooty & Sweep.

Good stuff, I wasn't 100% certain! Still a bit wide though for a 1.6 eh?
