There is a slight tap from the engine (suspect lifter or something alike)has got better through the day

Ah... But still might get away with at home rebuild.

Then you will find 1/2" of filler here and there. Looks like the front screen is cracked too.

But still if it was a 55 Chevy the price would be through the roof.

Also that is if the listing isn't a scam.

This. The Xedos 6's 2.0 was actually available in the 9 as well but why would you. Extremely optimistic price, isn't that even the car that was unsuccessfully flipped for 1300 quid before? If yes, why is it 3 grand now?!

This is the one Craigs supposedly bought.

I honestly don't know much about them but can't help but worry that if this one breaks, it might be cheaper to pay £3k for the other one compared to getting this repaired.

Ad basically screams that the gearbox is fubared.

Your reading-between-the-lines skillz are obviously superior to my own if you managed to get that from the advert.

That is the ultimate panel van.  Ideally it would have a 2 litre V4* rather than a pinto but let us all thank the Transit  gods that it doesn’t have that fucking hateful DI Diesel that ruined most of the mk3s.

*Yes I know that the mk3 never was made with a V4.

I think certain suspension parts like shock absorbers are unobtainable but that's part of the fun.

Furthermore, going to a Ford commercial dealer in 1991 and telling them you actually wanted a Transit that runs on petrol is on par with going to Mercedes, telling them you want an SL500 and requesting they remove the engine and replace it with a photograph of Sooty & Sweep.

<<ANORAK>> Those are 13" off a 2.8 Spesh, Brookie wheels are 15" <<ANORAK>>

Good stuff, I wasn't 100% certain! Still a bit wide though for a 1.6 eh?

Sounds like a normal day in the office for an AL4 🤣

Hmmm, nice Ford transit...

Perhaps I’m being pessimistic- but Citroen can’t seem to use reliable auto boxes since the Cx. Mentions slip road roulette shortening its life.  Perhaps it’s started fluffing changes?

The recent flood of E36s in this thread is making me feel conspicuous.

I'll get around to it. It'll be back on the road in spring. Honest...
