I really like this and have wanted one for years. I know there is the risk of someone poaching it if I post it, but can anyone spot any major issues? MOT history doesn't mention corrosion once.

The DVLA has it listed as a Daimler V8 with a 6 litre diesel engine

I'm sure someone on here had/has one of these.

Seemed to swallow money at a very rapid rate, and I don't mean petrol.

Could be a good buy, assuming it behaves at MOT time.

Cat should be worth more than that if original one.

Can be epically rotten - I fabricated the rear 12" of inner, outer and centre sills both sides on ours and did a load of welding on the rear sub frame. Had previously lived in Scotland before coming South.

This bit especially is going to take some welding to look right.

At least they made the effort to sweep it into a neat pile!

Presumably the value is in the docs; is this something that can be legitimately “restored” and not fall foul of the dvla ?

Might be something important. Like the vin plate.

Is plate raping still that appealing though? Before the rolling 40 year rule yes it was worth it with a magical amount of 1972 reg cars mysteriously on the road but now there is the rolling rule is it really worth modifying a 1988 mini with old VIN plates when it'll be exempt soon anyway?
