That does look good value.  Must be one of the first 1750s surely?

According to Kevin Miller on Flickr, this car sold at auction for £3,456 in June.

Ooofta. Identical to my first car. The red interior is really rare I've maybe only seen it a couple of other times in 30 odd years.

I keep having dreams about still owning this car were I can't remember the place I parked it. I don't think I'll be owning this one at 11 grand though.

I don't think those wheels are right though I think they're maybe off a GL the L had basic steels with no trim rings.

Check this out for £500!!

It's only a 1969 RHD R4! Yes, 1969 means it has the semi-translucent steering wheel and NOB

It's a bit battered, but doesn't actually appear to be too fundamentally fucked. There's a bit of work there, sure, but that's got to be virtually unique over here I'd have thought?

Looks like the paintwork will even come up nicely. New bonnet and wings and away you go!

EDIT: it's clearly 1967, apparently I don't know the alphabet

Christ on a bike, my mum had one exactly like that (same colour, the lot) back in the day and later replaced it with an orange coloured one.

Can't believe I'm saying this but... is it near you? As in, near enough to go and have a look?

About 2 hours, I think. I'm hoping my sister will have photographs of the car somewhere, it'd be a freak coincidence if it's the same one but would be amazing if it is.

Maybe Maxi Allen from Llandonna? Don't think he's a member, but he has at least 6 broken ones in his garden

Well there's two Maxis for sale from somebody's garden in Stoke on Trent £1100 the pair - some relative of his?

My mum bought me a big Polistil one of those in Italy when we went on holiday there in 1978 (?). We flew there and back on Alitalia 727s so the livery made an impression on me and so I agree with you completely. She also bought me an Alitalia Mirafiori and Caribinieri Alfetta. That was a good holiday for a ten year old.

Yep, standard on GL but “sports” road wheels were an option on lower spec models.
