Lot 50 - 1990 Citroen BX GTi 4X4

I had a couple of these. The issue was always that the drive from the gearbox to transfer box was through a woefully under engineered shaft. The splines on this shaft would strip and it was game over. This wrote most BX 4x4s off prematurely. I considered various options for a fix but once the few useable spares dried up you really only had the choice of reverting to 2wd.

The facelift added a servo. I’m sure your cousin is an expert, but I agree with @wuvvum, having run two each of both pre-and post-facelift mk2 Polos as my regular drivers for years.

Ah, good old G60 steels. That takes me back to buzzwords of Volkswagen ownership in times past.  Never did run a set of them though.
