I thought that was a turbocharged GSR for a moment there.

This looks great! Ā Honda 250 motorbike engine so the only dilemma is whether you get the address on the V5 as c/o Burns Unit or Fracture Clinic at the local hospital šŸ‘

I remember that hooning towards me, whilst driving the Mercury near Bolton Abbey steam railway on a narrow B road. I bet he soiled his pants as did I.

Posting this notĀ  because it's intrinsically interesting but because I find it impressive that the seller has managed to misspell "VW", not once but four times.

This looks fantastic by current pricing, I am not a fan of Ferrari ā€˜s but I really like the styling of these, plus a V12 engine. This does seem a good buy:

Ā

LHD, though.

There was a time in the 1990s when you could pick up these for as little as 10 grand, as they weren't thought to be very desirable.Ā

Ā

That does look nice especially with all the work done. I think the is auto isĀ a bit of a turnĀ off havingĀ Ā that fantastic v12 matted up to a General Motors three speed slusher.

I bet some clever person could get a getrag 6 speed in that without too much hassle* given it already mates up to a GM gearbox.Ā

It's also clearly badged as a 2.0TDI yet the seller is convinced it's a 1.8TDI. An engine I don't think exists.

I think this is the best* part though:

other than oil light pressure and turbo everything else is in good working order.

Aye, mate. Five minute job and it'll be reet.

Four and a half grand but the description makes it sound like you’re practically on the road in a week.

Tiny bits of welding, install the engine, fit the seats and put petrol in it🤪

If it's of *that* vintage where you don't need an MoT, you could well be. And omit the welding.
