This vacuum cleaner is so happy  he looks like a 1970's Tory MP who has locked himself in the stationary cupboard with a few grams of Columbian marching powder and 10 year's worth of Boy Scouts magazines.

Agreed.  Would look better in front of a row of garages in Chester.

While my Jaguar gently weeps.

I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping.

Still my Jaguar gently weeps.

If I had the money and land, I would have this as yard art or as some might call it, a scrap yard of moldy old chod at that miserable old gits house.

Tidy looking Sunny hatchback/coupe/estate thing, reasonably priced by my reckoning at £1750

Just like I bought in 1989 and sold the following year:

My 1983 Sunny + 1986 309, Ipswich 1990

How can it be 30+ years ago? I think the 1.5s are blunted by overly tall gearing, the 1.3 I had a bit later on was better.

I seriously think that you would need to be suffering some sort  of mental impairment to  consider that Porsche 'improved' by that ridiculous new face

This Subaru is appealing enough in its own right but why is no one talking about the two Gilberns getting it on in the background?

Shit!

I've been thinking about fetching my estate one of these back from France and MOT'ing/flogging it, will keep an eye on this and see what happens with it.

Those Gilberns have been for sale for ages - I think he started out with a 'job lot' of six or seven in varying states of decay but I think a few have since been sold on. The same lad has had half a dozen weird old Subarus for sale over the last six months; I'm not sure if he thought Gilberns and Subarus would make a nice little pension pot some day, but I reckon he bet on the wrong horse

That's how I remember the one a mate had in about 2001.  Nice and refined (for what it was) on the dual carriageway, but wouldn't pull up any kind of hill in 5th.

He replaced it with a Corolla 1.3 liftback which was much lower geared but would still do 70 in second due to the absence of a rev limiter...

Those camping trucks like they are wedged straight in someones farmyard with a few token bushes lobbed in front to separate  holidaymakers from the usual farmyard goings-on (animals being castrated, old machinery clattering about, labourers effing and jeffing etc)
