Yes. Lovely. I'm afraid it will get broken for it's Aston Martin engine by some philistine who will put it in some absurd AM recreation or lash-up and then ask £200,000.

Sadly you're right I reckon. There's one of those languishing on a driveway outside Harlow with its nose in the air which makes me think a similar fate has befallen it.

If it happens and they don't ruin the rest of it - a just acceptable replacement wd be an XK engine...but I expect they will take rear axle, instruments, steering box etc etc for some 'recreation'. The other alternative is to buy it to save it. The estimate, however, seems low. Ho hum.

But with DB2 cars now commanding this mega-money I fear the temptation will be too great to cut it up. Anyone with a few bits and an original log book from some long vanished car could have a go.

I don’t know about that. Possibly, but the survival rate of AML vehicles is well over 90% - which is staggering. I would wager that ends up getting fully restored.

A restored Aston Martin would want to keep the original engine. Matching numbers makes a big difference to a vehicles value.

There is a chance though that it could be tuned as used as the daily engine with the original kept to go in when sold.

If anyone buys this I'll 'test' it for them outside my Polish bird neighbour's window.

Unfortunately it has no seats, though.

£2500 isn't bad, assuming you don't break that top front screen which will cost enough to make Rishi Sumak wince.

Had one of those and that does look like a genuine jap built camper. Mileage is probably Kms and the head gasket can be done insitu but is a bit of a ***t to do due to the engine location and access. Gearboxes are easy to get out when they go tits, guess how I know.

Mrs BMH said buy it, getting her another beer then she's off to bed before she remembers tomorrow morning anything about it.

Good to have a missus that encourages you to buy shite though...

Only when she's had a few beers (or wines actually). Usually it's wtf...

A rather nice JDM spec 106 anyone? Which is still in Japan...

9200354A30200404W00105.jpg

It has a price of 2014000 Yen...that translates to £14735!!

I know French cars are seen as somewhat luxury and premium in Japan, but the other 106's showing up are in the £5k mark!
