Don't seem to be able to copy and paste links from Gumtree now...or is it just me?

It's just you. You see those 3 dots under the time. Click on themScreenshot_20200609-192645_Chrome.thumb.jpg.41dd131db30fcb8e12de3cfcbbfbbb3d.jpg

1978 Leyland Redline. I remember these as FGs from as spell in the the early 80's when I worked for a Leyland Commercial dealer, even then they were very crude with unbelievable vibration . They used to deliver about 90% of the loaves of Mothers Pride or so it seemed.

The red one is the later Taurus. Which looks like a bugeye Corolla estate that beasted the gym, then discovered pie and a hot bath.

Never seen a speedo with major units n5 before. IIRC US speed limits are often in that format however (i.e. 25 mph, 35 mph).

/\ That was standard for US speedos in the '80s and early '90s, when the blanket 55mph limit was in place.  Even sports cars had speedos that only went to 85 - the idea that any vehicle could possibly do 31 mph over the speed limit was unacceptable.

Cheap diesel Vectra with a bit of MOT.  Running but sold as spares or repairs because of "high mileage and it's a Vectra".  Fair enough.

Bonny early mk3 Fiesta Popular Plus, £500 start.

When I was a student, a Ford marketing guy brought a pre-production F-reg one of these along as he took us through a case study of product launch strategy.

A couple of years previously I’d have burst with excitement at seeing a pre-launch car up close in the metal.

As it was, the course was interesting but the Fiesta was pretty ho-hum and made me think the motor industry in the 90s was going to be rather bland, cynical and appliance-y.

Sadly I wasn’t wrong.

A lad I was at school with - his mother had an F reg mk3 in blue - Base AF so it was.

Anyway - we've got a wheel for one of these if anyone wants it!!!

Must be a mobile phone thing, as no three dots at the top. There is a share tab, but none of  the places to share to simply copy the link.

Looks like doing screenshots is the only way to put the cars up here. Bugger
