He certainly looks like he's about to burst with excitement
Teenagers eh, he is actually over the moon... despite his face...

That 306 has delivered an invaluable life lesson in shiting already I reckon. Don't hope for too much and you won't be disappointed! And don't be afraid to send a hopeless case over the 'rainbow bridge',

He did look a lot more pleased off camera. At least the door mirror's smiling.

Been at the 306 with the angle grinder this afternoon, decision made - take it to the bridge! If anyone wants it for the engine and other bits shout up now...3356cb61b343e183f1d618ff3480fccc.jpg7762a8c7864995c9ac1a80e76093096a.jpgb9bfe69d6f23bceba47c9930b02d5d82.jpgd13ab823521f0d1eb17c1da74adc06b2.jpgc109c70b0352302ff6ba3019a076623e.jpg

Jeezo, that's some horrific rot. I knew they were meant to rust there but I couldn't even work out what I was looking at on first study.

Wise move with removemycar I reckon.

What makes them rot there. It seems very strange in the middle of the panel.
No liner fitted on that side at the factory, they fitted one on the other side!

I’m actually going to stop eating beans for a year just in case they come wrapped in a can made out of that rancid heap.

Give it a month or so before stopping, the tins in the shops now will be OK unless there is another fucked 306 they are made out of ?

Another 10k clocked over tonight, taken 10months though, in the previous 2 years it's been doing 30k a year! I did put some work miles on the Saab and Passat though..7a04c6197199999a1d47186d85d2a696.jpg

Only just caught this thread; splendid timing, as ever. I don't suppose there's any chance whatsoever that you might have removed the gear knob before the 306 took a magic flatbed to the afterlife?

The gearknob of my wife's 306 (exactly the same age)  literally fell apart and she had been knobless, as it were, for several months until I bought a (awful) generic item from Amazon t'other week. If it had an actual 306 one again it would be like the good old days.

When we went to look at it a couple of weeks ago the gearknob was fine, as soon as Smollest FL attempted some gear changes on the drive it literally disintegrated...

Only bits I've got in the garage are the parcel shelf and some 13" trims..

Just been to pick my sister up in the Fiesta and she's refused to get in and indicated it's a death trap...
