I'm after a smallish automatic car with cheapish tax. Preferably Japanese. Needs to be mechanically perfect but minor body damage not an issue. Anything considered up to £1500 but cheaper preferred.

 

No rush, its for my mother, she does have a working car but the clutch is on the way out and its time to get an auto really

 

Could do with being easy to get in and out of too!

I'm on a bit of a retro trip, again, I failed to get a White suit and I've kind of gone off the idea anyway, I'm currently the wrong shape, so I'm looking for those old Technics/Pioneer jackets you used to see in the 90s. I've already got an original 90s Kenwood one, originally bought for Fatha_Sterling, then got it back some years later and it's now mine. I lost my jackets some years ago, besides, they'd probably be too small for me now anyway.

 

To give you an idea, here is one I found on eBay;

 

 

As nice as the jacket is, £85 is a bit pricey for me for a jacket that was originally £15 from the market.

 

I'd always wanted a Pioneer and Technics jacket, if you've got one stashed away somewhere and are happy to sell on, let me know.

why dont you see of one of those embroidery places can do a standard black jacket , often see places doing custom lettering on hats and t shirts etc for not much ££

Could do but it's a bit too much faffing about just to get something that already exists. I'd have to buy a standard jacket, then find somewhere that does it etc... it's just a lot of time that could he spent more constructively. I'd rather just ask someone who might have an old 90s jacket stashed away in the loft somewhere that might be interested in selling it on for a few quid.

 

I've already got a proper 90s Kenwood one so I'm not that desperate, it'd be nice to have the set including; Technics and Pioneer, I'm just putting the feelers out there in case someone does have one.

Never saw/noticed those back in the day, all the jackets used to be then-popular stereo makes like Kenwood/Technics and Pioneer. I know Kenwood jackets were very popular around the Telford area in the late 90s. Pioneers and Technics not so much for some reason, probably because all the market traders around there went for all the Kenwood stuff.

 

Some of the Kenwood jackets were 'fake' apparently if they had a star above the 'W' instead of an upside down triangle. They were all fake though I think. Though good stuff as my Dad's old jacket is still in great condition but it hasn't been worn that much.

I used to also see a lot of helter skelter and kinetic jackets about in my early teens circa 94/95, well i would to be fair kinetic was at the leisurebowl in longton that was a few miles away from my house, i remember seeing Kenwood, pioneer and technics about A bit as well, i had considered an old jacket like that as a period accessory for my car

A work mate of mine has a Honda CRV 02 plate 2.0 petrol,that he wants moving on.

 

The problem is he has been told it may have a stretched timing chain.

 

The story goes,that he took the dogs for a walk,put them back in the CRV.Started it up and it had a missfire,no missfire before stopping.

He nursed the car home? but had to push through the missfire(could be a coil pack?)

 

A mechanic mate of his dad diagnosed a stretched timing chain that may have jumped a little?

 

The car was then parked up and left,he now wants rid of it.  £100 will buy it.   still mot'd

 

The CRV is blue with a different colour wing green i think.

 

The car is in Sunderland tyne and wear north east England..£100,

I got this recently as part of a house clearance. I think the engine code comes back as a (Honda) CT250.

It’s only the bottom end as seen in pictures and whilst the crank turns I have absolutely no idea of condition, so best for spares I suppose.
