Next door 'rented house' neighbours again..

Loudly shouted overheard conversation:

Him. "What do ya want for tea, beans and chips, beans sausages and chips, chips and curried beans or chips and some fried beans?"

Her. "Wots fried beans?"

Him. "Got a tin of 'em in the cupboard. Mexican or summat. Do you want 'em?"

Her. "Don't eat foreign muck. Got any tins of curry?"

Him. " Yeah, think so. Do you want chips?"

Her. " Fuckin too right"

Windows 95 is 20 years old today (or yesterday). Here's a photo of Bill Gates demonstrating it in a car. Look at the books on his table!

It's mornings like this that I'm very glad I have new rain tyres fitted!

Couldnt see fuck all for most of my commute, but I felt planted to the floor at least!

Found a UK company willing to discuss the possibility of fitting air suspension to the Princess, so much so that they've asked for dimensions and info on how the standard suspension works and is fitted.  This is a big step forward, up until now my enquiries have just been ignored or not taken seriously.  At the very worst it will help me understand why fitting such a system might be impossible and at the very best it will give me a solution and a large bill for fitting it all.

I popped to the bodyshop earlier to check progress on my saph and it's going pretty good, i welded 2 rear arches in at the end of last week and he has nearly done the filler work

Anglesey was like that for large chunks of the weekend, including my track session in the 100bhp 2CV.

Last night I got pissed and bought £300 worth of tools off ebay for work (Tool chest and top box, Halfords 150pc set, spanners pliers etc etc).

It's bugged me for a while, jobs are always held up cos I've had to scrounge stuff from home, nobody there really has any mechanical skills so they don't own owt past a couple of pairs of adjustables and some monkey metal screwdriver sets.

Mentioned I'd ordered them to the gaffer this morning and he said just email him the receipts and he'll pay for them, and in future if I think there's anything worth buying just buy it and he'll do the same again.

I wonder if this approach works for cars?

My Gaffer has recently coughed up and bought a tow pole and set of jump leads after borrowing mine for the umteenth time.  He bought a new tyre inflator for the compressor too which was handy as the old one was miles out and saw me driving the Cherry round with 15psi in the tyres till I checked it elsewhere.

6:40am, just beyond the A64 junction of the A1M heading north: a Y-reg Ford Fiesta, with its arse just off of the deck, filled with 3 young men, their camping gear and their beer - so full of the latter that the rear passenger is looking a bit cramped. I don't think it would take more than three guesses to correctly identify their destination!

That reminds me of a weekend trip away in a small car in February 2010. Our mate in the back was expecting to be driven in our perfectly serviceable SAAB 9000.  Look familiar?

Anyway, I was testing out my new lens so thought I'd take a photo of this old cinema poster we found at a local sale last year.

The unfortunate font for the lead actor always puts a smile on my dial and catches out a fair few visitors, too.
