Diamond travel by any chance? Their buses are all fucked and have major problems with clee hill

No, Central buses. The Red ones, small company. I actually wanted to go to Ludlow but settled for the first bus that came to my street which was the Bridgnorth one which was more due to time than anything. I used to go to Bridgnorth quite a lot and enjoyed it.

Yesterday pulled away from lights on a dual carriage way and the new BMW M3 next to me hoofed it past, followed by an angry sounding  C reg Vauxhall Nova GTE, which then left the M3 for dead as it disappeared into the distance. Probably not standard I assume but did make us lol a bit.

Saw a mint Mondeo Mk1 in the Retro Rides Gathering car park. A silver/blue 1.8 LX on an N. So they do exist!

Looking out my front window I feel like a junior manager in early 1990's. Leaded double glazing and a rover on the drive

Sorry, forgot my actual grin.

I got talked into helping with some house clearing - a woman I know because she's on the checkout at ASDA and is very chatty asked me to help remove and dispose of her late husband's clutter - he's been dead 7 years and she just had a small lottery win so its time to gut the house and start again.

So, son and I went last sunday and emptied out the outhouse and coal shed of tools and car spares and dismantled a double bed frame which we found a home for on monday. We went back today to remove a stairlift and move three large wardrobes from the front bedroom to the garden.

Amongst the junk I got a nice long handle snap on 3/8 ratchet, a set of stubby spanners and a gunson timing gun that looks like a star trek prop (expect force hale thread...), son got given a load of plane models, mostly old dinky and corgi including a dinky spitfire and a boxed '72 corgi concorde. I've been pricing them up :o that's his computer upgrade paid for! We did tell her they were probably worth money, but she insisted because selling them involved faff/computers/people she doesn't know.

Anyway. When we finished this afternoon, she gave me two 8 packs of bottled ale (Black sheep riggwelter, which is very nice) and the young un three 4 packs of energy drink because we kept refusing to let her pay us.

Happy! (hic!)

BBC3 on in the background - programme is called 'Top Coppers' (not really watching it, so no idea if it's worth watching) - one of the lead characters appears to drive a Chrysler 180!

Possibly one of the few scenarios where a pursuer on foot has a genuine chance of catching the vehicle he is chasing.

I was in the Old dears 1400 A class today fronting the lights at the Scott Arms , and by bugger a Ferrari of some description pulled up next to me , so for shits n giggles I decided to rev up my old chodder and edge forward, Gent in Ferrari looked and raised his eyebrow - Lights changed - I floored it, and I never even saw him pass, cartoon version of spinning on me roof in a spool of smoke!! Made me chuckle mind - I got a Ferrari to race me!! ha ha !!!! made me day

that is aonther one of the funnies from Nissan's Pike works in Japan, responsible for the Figaro etc.

IIRC the Pao is the same idea, a Micra's floor with an interesting body.

I've seen many Figaros, a couple of Paos, several S-Cargos and even a Rasheen but I'm still yet to see the much lesser known BE-1.  It was a great period of Nissan just building stuff for shits and giggles, it was fantastic they had the resources to do it.

Just took a short wander from my hotel tonight and came across this:

I think that's by David Mach. He did similar sculptures, I remember seeing smaller scale versions of the steam train from stacks of newspapers in Aberdeen Art Gallery in the 90s. Southern softies might be familiar with the row of leaning phone boxes in Kingston Upon Thames, which he also did.

There's was  BE-1 for Sale at a Scrappy near here up until a couple of weeks ago. Stolen recovered, nt mot, roof full of wob and £2000. I recon if it was 1500 I would have been tempted.

On my ride in today there were about 20 people waving flags outside the new Arabic Immersion school.   I thoroughly enjoyed being able to loudly boo them and tell them they were idiots as I went past.   Apparently they were trying to save America.   This had me chuckling all the way to work as I often shout at Fox News if I see it but it's not often you get a chance to address the audience directly.
