Had a really weird dream last night. I went into my back garden and there were three new additions. A Standard Ten saloon, Standard Companion and a really tidy beige Ambassador which I remembered vividly when I woke up this morning. The registration number was A802 OPU (actually relates to a Sierra!) and it was last taxed in 2000 with the tax disc issued at Great Dunmow Post Office. It was also wet like someone had washed it and had a row of four badges on the grille. It had the nice VDP alloys but I'm not sure of the spec. Either way, spooky as hell!

A beige Ambassador?? Is that forewarning a disturbance in the Force?

^^ I'd be really impressed if it was also full of bubble bath.

I've hopefully found a buyer for the TR7 and the best thing of all he's going to restore it as he says he's been after a 77 one for a while. Good result all round if it comes through.

Hopefully it means I can bring the puma back to the the house and get the Rover back in my lockup so I can sort out the underbonnet mess.

Nice one, Glenn. It'd be a right shame if the TR got fragged or something by a potential buyer. Still feel guilty over the work that needed, genuinely didn't know about all the welding etc.

There's no way you could have known Billy. When I had a look under it when it arrived I thought it looked solid as a rock. It wasn't until I took the seats out I found the full horror.

The fella's coming up from the midland to get it so I've explained in no uncertain terms it's pretty RAF but he still seems keen and has restored a few cars in the past. All good if it happens.

This is Autoshite, the car is a BMW Mini. Therefore it was 100% the driver's fault.

You mean its a fat bloated shadow of what it used to be and how it SHOULD look? Has the purity, innocence and beautiful simplicity been utterly destroyed to the point that you just dont recognise the very thing you fell in love with all them years ago?

Sounds like a *fucking marriage to me, Sir.

* I say it alot, there is no other word in the English language so descriptive and utterly effective you can almost taste it as you say/type it.

However, as not to offend those of a nervous disposition, I shall endeavour to reduce the 'F' count to a more manageable number.....

Just stumbled across this interesting feature over on MSN cars (spit) about what the motoring journalists drive, and there's some surprising results too, Just a shame our fellow Citroenmaniac or AR perv didn't get a plug.

Got the phone call i've been waiting for this morning...THE CAPRI IS READY!!!!

After a (insert large amount of dosh here) weld up and respray, and about 5 months, she's home.

As the weather is shit at the mo, the only photo i have is on my phone, and my sd card doesn't seem to want to play.

It's laquer red, on 13" minilites.

I'd fprgotten how shite the brakes are.....

Moar photos on my facebook, and will bung some on here if anyone cares!

Do you have photos of it, I've always* wanted one of these, and I'd love* a TR7 that needed a little bit of work*.

Did a booze run to tescos before in the beige cortina, got out the car and saw a C-reg polo getting jump started off a J-reg 405 diesel estate about five bays down from me. A proper chod moment.

I recognise the girl who was driving the polo, she works in a local arkwright style DIY shop (called "Rammages", of all things :P ), her normal daily is an old MZ bike.

I was quite literally howling with laughter - anyone who works in the health care professions will find it funny for all the wrong reasons, everyone else will find it funny for all the right reasons.

My better half is a nurse... I'm already ending myself and I'm not entirely sure if I want to show her this...
