I past a grey/black Alfa Romeo SZ convertible on the A14 tonight on the way home from work, not a sight you see everyday, i was also following a R reg Mondeo petrol Taxi which still looked mint which striked me as being quite old now.

Scored tickets to the Gadget Show Live on press day today (I work for a large electronics retailer, and they seemingly don't bother checking who you actually are so I just applied, printed out a barcode, and went to the NEC)

Loads of COOL gadgets, loads of fit PR-type birds and I got my arm around Suzy Perry before she was ushered off. And a bag full of STUFF too.

Please tell me Suzi Perry is a bit rough in real life.....

I love her....

Some local 'character' has a Bitsashitty Lancer Evo OMG 9 (or whatever version it is) and my mate and I had been taking on bets on how long it'll be before he blows it up. He revs the absolute kackers out of it from cold, rags it round his road then knocks it off, which must be slowly killing it.

The other day I got quite close behind it in my Merc on the bypass and thought I'd see if I could keep up with him. Got stuck behind a car on the roundabout then tried (in vain) to get behind him again. At this point he really wellied it and the amount of smoke coming from his exhaust was comical. I'm going to give it a month at best before I see the RAC bringing him home one day.

A mate of mine called to say he's looking to get a Corrado G60. I've always liked them, but I've never driven one so fingers crossed he gets it as I'll get to borrow it :D

If this bird doesn't drive an 02 plate Kia Rio, I'll eat my hat.

This starts with a grump. I switched the new wheels onto the 7 series on Friday afternoon and was pretty pleased with a result. So pleased infact that I've been driving it all weekend all over the place. Yesterday I thought I'd have another go at that troublesome caliper bolt that's been giving me problems.

I parked it outside my lockup and.. "Now were did I put that alloy locking nut??" I can't remember putting it in the car and it's not in the magnetic tray I was using.

ARSE BISCUITS! I'd left it in the wheel like a world class twat. I checked the wheels and all round the yard but it was gone. The locking nuts a really tight fit in the wheel so the chances are the air chisel's going to be required to get the nut off making a mess of my nice new wheels.

I was so pissed off I went and did some work on a non car related project I've got going on. A couple of hours later I thought I'd grab a sandwich (and 12 beers to drown my sorrows) and was walking down the lane staring at my shoes and cursing the universe for making me so stupid only to spot the friggin locking nut sitting at the end of the lane!. 3 days later, I couldn't believe it. How jammy is that? I still couldn't get the caliper bolt off though.

Text from 604's ex-Owner this afternoon: "You've not sent me any pics of the 604 back on the road. This is my e-mail".

So I sent him some. A couple of Jon Watanape's shots from last weekend followed by the infamous "Kromer" shot. Then another e-mither with all the pictures of the amazing filler 1/4 panel.

Next text from him was how he's glad to see it nice, how he'd like a go next time he's in Liverpool, and that he didn't seal a kitten into it!

Hopefully he'll pass on that box of goodies he kept trying to flog me.

Clearing my feet, one National 2 and one Cavalier on ebay just now. Just had a question about the bus... from the company who ran it between about 1998 and 2008. Appears they want it back as it was their last National is still one of the best buses they ever owned... here's hoping a good home is found for her...

:D That would be a right result! Hope it comes off.
