Just changed trains in Pardubice, ČZ, and the overhead lines are absolutely full of crows. I mean thousands upon thousands of crows. All chattering away. It was the strangest experience. Unfortunately I had quite a tight connection and I realised I had three minutes to be three platforms away and I was at the end of a long platform or else I would have stayed and savoured the atmosphere.

As I turned and ran I noticed they were packed even tighter on the lines through the platforms but I didn't have time to stop.

@Yoss

Those Damn Crows? 😁

I don't know how well known Schitts Creek is but it was the first thing I thought of. When I got back about 2 in the afternoon they had all gone. Where that many crows can go without terrorising somebody I have no idea.

A tram replacement tram? I'm struggling to see how that helps. IMG_20250114_133851.thumb.jpg.9d091f2885c715d2738a85dfc5a1c70e.jpg

issues across the street I wonder ?

,last year or so the house across the road had a big porch  put up , it went over the drive , under which the main sewage drain pipe for the houses on that side existed ....

the builders came up with some technical reason as to why it was ok to use a 4 inch pipe ? into the existing 6 inch main to replace the bit under the porch ..

so a big pipe into a smaller pipe , then into a big pipe again ..   we all voiced concern about it at the time ...but its now under tons of earth and porch ..

so far since xmas  ,united utilities have been with the big pump truck , people have been lifting grids , now the drain pressure washers have been ...

so far I have gained a UU hard hat , but it got nicked out of the garden ...

Due to events I've explained elsewhere this morning I spent the day being a tourist in Bratislava. What a lovely place. Large old town, spotless, dozens  of cafes and practically no tourists, except me. I know it's January but I'm sure Prague or Vienna would still be heaving.

Would highly recommend.

I'm definitely getting old. Just picked this up locally and after assembling it I enjoyed a wee lie down for 10 minutes 🤣

Also, in scenes which frankly would disgust a 17 year old me, I've just fixed the number plate lights on the Kangoo which makes it easier for the feds to trace the small blue van seen doing stunts around Fife

Had one of those.

Problem is, my drive is so rutted and knackered, it decided it'd rather wear one side of each wheel down, rather than rotate them as it's supposed to.

Comfy to start with, but not when each wheel has more in common with a 20p 🥺

Mine had loads of use too. It was second hand when i got it and used it a fair few times. One summer it died when all the kids in the block used it for riding down the hill on. Fun times.
