A bit of planning required there. I don't think I've seen tenths on both the mileage and the trip before.

I've gone back to the 1970's for the weekend!

Great times being had, but I've a right tool next to me at the moment discussing loudly how much he and his chums earn. FFS.

If it’s the 1970s I assume they earn about £70 a week?

My grin: saw a lovely gold mark 1 Citroen CX on Dutch plates in leafy Surrey yesterday as I was driving to Reigate for a work thing. No chance to get a photo as I was on the move, which was a shame.

Except rather improbably I saw the same car again today, about 50 miles away on the M4! What are the odds of that? Traffic was stop start so we got a slightly* rubbish pic this time.

Headlight and assembly fitted to the drivers side on the Toledo. Looks a million times better now it has the proper set up and sits properly. Passenger side dismantled and just needs prepping and painting.

Bloody wires just twisted together, urrgghhh.

Now has proper connectors fitted complete with heat shrink stuff. Much more better.

Hear this.

PM’s have been sent, and some bargaining has been done. I shall let the (potential) new owner reveal himself on here. It’s been rescued and hopefully will be leaving the yard very soon. This is a VERY GOOD DAY.

YES! If they could reveal themselves before my next Retro Japanese deadline, that'd be marvellous (a week Tuesday).

Surely there is only one person with the Bo11ocks to save this one?

I've just found a working biro with a dulux badge sellotaped on it. The reason that's a grin is it means I must have borrowed it from work in about 2004/5 and it's survived several moves north and still works. Not bad for a free pen!

We've found a house, and the only mark against it is no bath (shower only, not ideal when my back plays up).  It's so perfect in every other regard that we're willing to overlook this since a bath can always be fitted.  Now the nailbiting agony of finding out if they accept offers, etc.  Trying very hard to not be too excited, all the same.

On another site, someone has used the phrase "Tuna Canoe" to describe a lady's bits.

I admit to having a LOL M9

Yes, with a full-length sky light and a window at the far end, AND an electric up-and-over door, which is pretty fancy.

Kent.  Frigging Kent.

Bearsted, to be accurate.  The only consolation is I keep being misheard and people think I live in Bastard.

Good choice. Kent has some lovely bits and some god-awful bits but it's pleasant there. Fingers crossed for the house!

Hey Vulg, if you want to impress the locals, Bearsted is pronounced 'beer-sted'.

Some may argue, but I was born there (40yrs back...) and that's how we said it, complete with a Kentish twang :)

The place isn't the small village it used to be but is still a very nice place and is friendly. The big village green is host to much cricket and other events during the summer; in fact today is the yearly classic car show!

I live 30 mins away now, but will always fondly remember walking on the green/ around the pond with my grandfather when I was a child :)

I drive right past bearsted every evening when I'm working. Do a trunk run to lenham, bearsted is a handy cut through when the M20 has problems

There is a late 60 year old chef at my work and she was telling us about the freshness of going commando, but she didn't do it in jeans because of Gina juice, I laughed my head off at her
