I've liked that without actually watching it. Yet.

After succesfully* sharpening my much used, much loved Phil Taylor darts on my new bench grinder, I decided to treat myself to some new arrows today

Just over £100. Complete overkill as I'm not even very good, I just play most dinner times with my mate. It's another one of those sports* that I'm crap at but just love playing.

My not very old Virgin hub thing died a couple of weeks ago, Virgin agreed to send a replacement without much argument so perhaps they're a bit prone to borking, so to keep me going I opened the fucker and found a tiny surface mount resistor or maybe a tantalum cap was buggering around with the DC in, pinged it off with a stabby implement and it's still working now, I'll swap the new item when I find the time to re-do the passwords in every bastard thing that's wanting.

Just change the new router's I'd and password to the old one. That's what I always do when I change supplier. New sky router just arrived, and it will get the treatment.????????

Edit - Pollock beat me to this.

That's Arkansas. Riding a bike with no headlight while taking your Raccon for a night out is a crime, but having a long family history of very close relatives is quite "normal".

Indeed, but it's only recently that you've been able to marry your same-sex family...!

My bonnet got flat polished earlier by my mate at the bodyshop, i picked the car up at 6.30 when i got back from bakewell then I spent a little over 3 hours hand polishing the bonnet and the rest of the car, I love getting a finish like this

Okay fordperv, I'm biting. What is a flat polish? Apart from Sam's soapy wet dream.

I genuinely don't know. I suppose I could look it up on generic search engine but I would prefer to hear it from the shiny shiny horses mouth.

EDIT - It looks lovely BTW OBVS

Its simply a flat back with very fine grade wet and dry to take any surface imperfections away and a machine polish to take away the sanding marks and bring back the shine. My mate only did it with g3 as i always finish the job by hand.

It's also known as wet sanding

I think Ron could do with that finished by hand part.

Tbh it does look very shiny. Can that get rid of pogweasel red too?

Tonight I saw an A40 Somerset on the M25 being piloted by an Angry Young Man. My passenger commented on how unusual it was to see such an old car on a 'highway' being used just like a regular car.

He now thinks England is even smaller than his Texan preconceptions when I told him I knew the driver, probably thinks we all live in one little village with Edinburgh at one end and London at the other.

Driving back from Luton yesterday, got to the roundabout where the A421 meets the A1 and there was a youngish lad in a blue 1972 Midget proper hooning it round the roundabout - as in four wheel drift hooning.  Then he peeled off onto the A428 and hooned all the way up the sliproad as well.  I tried to catch him, I really did, but I couldn't get close.  So nice to see a classic MG being used as Cecil Kimber intended, rather than polished to within an inch of its life and then driven from car show to car show at 43mph.

^^ My oldest lad is 13 he has been getting picked on for a while, the school weren't doing much about it.

Last Thursday one of the bullies said to him your mum is a c__t and a slut. Ben smashed him in the face as he went down here kneed him in the face then, dragged him around the floor kicking him. He then walked out of school and came home just as school started ringing us.

His teacher said he was dragging him around the floor kicking the shite out of him.

The bullies won't look at him now.

Ben got 1 day in isolation and then moved form class away from them.

Sounds possibly worth it... I got bullied in secondary school, one evening on the way home one followed me, and for the first time even I kicked him to the floor. Nae bother again... Never done it since mind

I liked this not for the day in isolation and being moved but for standing up for himself.

The world would be a better place if all the bullies were dealt a slice of this.

Good on you, my mates little lad was in a similar situation, his mum always told him not to hit anyone, he told me a lad kept on picking on him and hitting him every day, the teachers had done nothing, so i told him if the bully does it again hit him like we play fight, the next day the bully hit him and he belted the bully a few times busting his nose and put him on his arse, the school rung my mate and had the cheek to question why he protected himself and maybe to think about the type of people he lets his son take advice fron because when asked why he did it he replied "my uncle told me to give him a good belt if he did it again" my mate laughed.

Phone call home a while back from my daughter's school. She'd punched a lad and broke his nose. The back story is he sits behind her and spends hours per day winding her up, making comments, telling her to go and kill herself etc.

She got an improvement plan (basically all the teachers have to sign a card to say she's behaved in their class) but there was also an interesting conversation with Mrs Pillock.

"So what's happening to the boy she hit?"

"Well, he's ok, and..."

"I mean punishment. He's been dishing out weeks of bullying. I want him dealt with"

And he was. Broken nose plus being put on report. And he's not said a word since...

And that illustrates perfectly what's wrong with the school system, punishing those who have been the target of bullying, rather than those doing the bullying.

Funny that, I viewed the first house on my list tonight. First thing I looked at was the garage, it's great but I'm not as impressed with the house.
