I can't think of any 4wd that would make life harder to "LIVE" than a Kia Sportage. I'm fairly sure a Panda Sisley could wipe the floor with one, either on- or off- road.

Depends on the age of the Sportage. I think the Mk1 had a proper dual-ratio gearbox, and possibly an LSD.

I found this video*, which I have almost no recollection of making, in my youtube channel. 1000 internet points if you can identify the vocalist.

It did indeed have a dual-ratio box, and selectable 4wd, but still managed to be pretty appalling. Maybe I just happened to drive a lemon, but it didn't feel remotely capable.

From what I remember of my old boss's first gen Sportage, they were heavier than the moon but had a revvy 16v engine? Doesn't sound a great combo for mud plugging. His also had steps on the side which gave it bugger all clearance.

Train back from Leeds today was two pacers bolted together for some reason. So figuring people are lazy I walked down to the front carriage and had it all to myself.

How appropriate the post above this one is from Cheggers.

The vocalist is a very young Keith Chegwin.

(I cheated like a bastard mind, ran it through Soundhound and then Googled it)

I've wrapped all my Christmas presents, decorated the apartment and am currently listening to a lovely Christmas classical music playlist on Apple Music...I am at peace with the world.

This state of one-ness with myself should last until the darts starts at 7:30

Driving into Norwich this morning I passed a red Heinkel bubble car wearing a massive Santa hat on its roof.  Made me LOL.

Today I managed to have all the right spanners and torx headed screwdriver things in the right place and at the right time.

Went and rescued/picked up a bird I know late last night because cabs this time of year are hard to come by and would probably cost loads at midnight, and I did say to give me a shout if she gets stuck...  Anyway I go and collect her, she in jest laughs that I drive a Rover but then gets in and comments on the nice comfy leather seats.....  I asked about her car, Fiesta isn't it? Yes a blue Fiesta I paid £13k for it.

HAA HAA!  How much??

Sit back and enjoy the comfy ride home in the £400 Rover and shut up.

Traffic cops hasn't gone off air, it's gone over to channel 5. I flippin love traffic cops. Even better you can download it on bittorrent if you can't stomach channel 5

I can't find any trace of Traffic Cops on Channel 5 (not listed on their internet site).  Police Interceptors, yes, Traffic Cops, No.

If it's on there can someone post a link or a screenshot ore something as I much prefer Traffic Cops to Police Interceptors.

If on sky it's called all new traffic cops. Next episode Monday 8pm or 9 if +1

350 mile round trip completed in Festive Mondeo this weekend - it behaved faultlessly, very pleased with it.  MOT next week which might be less fun.

I was passed by a Mitsuoka Viewt on the superslab - which made me smile - it wasn't hanging around, either.  Not bad for what is basically a K12 Micra auto IIRC.

Thanks Bub, I was foolishly searching under T instead of A, cheers.

I watched Mr Wobbler's YouTube review of the £4 ZX last night ... quite funny that YouTube thought an ad for Louis Vuitton was somehow appropriate. I can just see me in a knackered old Citroen with a £800 bag...

Had a quick play with a new toy this morning and made this out of an old piece of metal from Gwen bent to 90 degrees.

Obviously loads to learn still and it needs fixed into the vice better but it is a start.

Metal work tools are ace and it was a lucky find on ebay at a good price. Now I have been looking at all the posts on 'how to make a shrinker stretcher stand' and not actually doing anything else!

A warning to be careful about drink driving as we are getting close to Christmas and Plod are out there checking on people.

Last night I was out for a few drinks. One thing led to another and I had a few too many pints and then went onto the whisky. Not a good idea

Knowing I was over the limit, I decided to leave my car at the pub and took a taxi home.

Sure enough, I passed a police checkpoint at the top of the road where they were pulling over cars and performing breathalyser tests.

Because I was in a taxi they just waved it past. I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise as I've never driven a taxi before and I am not even sure where I got it from...
