Having recieved two identical vents yesterday, had a (very slight) whinge the correct opposite side one turned up this A.M. can't fault the service there :)

Having seen how much they cost I'd expect them to hand deliver via helicopter!

May have missed this, but go on, how much do they cost?

Don't know how many of you reprobates are opera fans, but nice to know that the most beautiful singer in the world drives a black Series 2:

The joy on her face in the very last scene (3:35) is the joy that only driving a V8 Rover can produce.

But listen and enjoy.  The verve, the passion, the intensity and the sheer vocal quality that Elina brings is a joy.  She's awesome.

And her Autosh!te credentials are impeccable.  A P6B driver!  Can a woman be any more perfect?

D.A.R.Y.L to be precise ;-)

I hate that film.

In full agreement with you there, she is awesome, to use an overused american epithet.

I will say though that Jackie Evancho, not an opera singer but classical crossover, knocks me sideways too.

Keep it to youself for fuck sake, I am utterly ashamed, appalled and mortified that I could be so stupid as to pay that for them! :)

I don't know what that Opera lady is singing about but i suspect she's moaning about having to change the pads on the inboard rear brakes and that it's just averaged 15 mpg driving to that car park.

Sorry if it's been reported elsewhere, but one of the finalists on last night's Professional Masterchef had a Fiat 127 Palio on his driveway. Didn't look like it gets used much though (he did have five kids).

Given that he was in Scotland it would have been more appropriate if he'd have had a Volvo estate rotting away instead/as well?

Is that personal experience speaking there Trig?!

Wouldn't think so - Trig hasn't done much opera singing

I had an F reg BX 19TRi estate in that exact same colour, an excellent motor, never saw another one before or since.

A bit of bread-and-butter shite action...

Fair enough. Plenty of worse films I could have been named after though

Yeah, if your mam had been into crap fantasy films instead of crap sci-fi she could have called you Ladyhawke!

Posted

Being called Ladyhawke would be absolutely bloody brilliant, that is all.

Ah, they fall into the "If you have to ask how much, you can't afford them" category

Went to pick up a new injector for the Clio tonight from a boy close to me who races them. Got talking about the BMW which I turned up in and mentioned how it was needing new wings and I'd already bought one with the intention of having a crack at spraying it myself but still needed another one

"Which one?"

"Passenger side for a facelift"

"Hold on" as he disappeared into his store

I now have 2 wings :)

Grin: bought tickets to mugello MotoGP

Grump: standing only, the grandstands were stupidly expensive

been assen (twice) and le mans

go le mans - bring brolly

preffered assen pre track change

want to go brno and valencia

Posted

Brno yes, Valencia is statistically the most boring race, too tight and short with very little passing going on but supposed to be a great atmosphere

I reasoned that this could be Rossis last mugello and could be something special
