It's a Laureate, so aircon, electric windows, alloys. 2 wheel drive version. Great for lugging bikes and snowboard kit about.

I looked at an Access spec one before I got mine, I was quite keen, but the one I bought came up at the same price, so it was a no brainer I thought. Also the Access one was at Arnold Shark.....

Speaking of Arnie I'm seeing 1.5 DCI Laureates for less than ten grand on 65 plates - might make more sense than a brand new Access

My other half bought me these for a laugh - it's actually lovely beer and it doesn't go on about lease cars when you open it which is a surprise

Just booked the ferry to back to the Nurburgring 24h race in May. It's quite an event, with 220,000 spectators and 210 cars around the combined GP/Nordschleife track, about 16 odd miles. Not been since 2010, it has worse weather but better food, toilets and showers than Le Mans. :-D

Oooh, I'd love to go there sometime!

The thing making me grin right now is the Ministry of Sound 90s Anthems album. 60 tracks and 4 hours+ of awesome. I think this will need copied onto some CD-Rs and put in the 316. :D

Cards Against Humanity...Listening to your other half's elderly mother read out "2 midgets shitting in a bucket"

Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk

We played this at a Christmas party, the winning hand was something about 'ass to mouth' which was read out by our friend's sons new girlfriend of about two weeks.

Interesting icebreaker meeting your partners parents

The jade goody one was good too

I think my anus has recovered from Christmas

We went out Christmas Eve and wasn't expecting to eat but ate 3 courses, had a big roast duck and trimmings and then seconds and thirds on Christmas Day

Boxing Day at inlaws and another roast with 3 times the quantity, sweets and Christmas pudding and cheese and biscuits and then a big lunch on the 27th

I've never farted so much, they're so hot and smell like toxic waste, I've gone about 5 hours without farting.

Off out to dinner tonight at friends....

Arse...

The transporter bridge in Newport was the highlight of a fairly grim 5-hour drive home from the other side of Woking:

I know my sense of direction is poor, but I'm sure you should not be that close to the transporter bridge unless it's a deliberate detour (or they'd shut the M4 after I went past)

The usual M4 Newport jam started way back before the Celtic Manor. I'd had more than enough of the arseholes on the motorway by then so we did a diversion. It was no slower and a lot less angry-making.

Just been to a Nepalese curry house in backwoods bandit country expecting it to be fairly mediocre, but  they served the best curry I've ever had in my entire life, it was absolutely amazing. None of this usual paint by numbers curry house "hang a massive naan bread on a metal tree, dim the lights so much they can't see that a 330ml bottle of Cobra is £5 and just tip 500g of chillis into everything so it's incredibly hot and idiots think it's authentic" bollocks, just proper honest good food.

My boring but reliable and useful Mondeo wagon got a slow puncture last week, which was quite noticeable 4 up towing our camping trailer, so I boshed on the spare but due to it being nearly Christmas, I wasn't able to sort out getting it fixed until yesterday, when down in Napier on holiday for a couple of nights. I dropped it off to the first open tyre shop I saw just before 5pm and was told to pick it up today at 9am, since they were busy. Imagining a financial dry bumming via teeth sucking and new a tyre fitted in my absence etc. I was pleasantly surprised to be handed my tyre back with a plug fix, free of charge!

Then my wife went shopping and outdid me; the tiny chain of the 9ct necklace she got for her 21st broke a link the other day, so she dropped in to a jewellers to see if they could fix it but they were a retail branch, so couldn't do that type of thing in store. However, they bunged her an identically sized gold plated shop display one to see her through gratis, until she got hers fixed somewhere else!

Napier, NZ; a misers retail heaven.
