A lot of FCRs record the fault and wipe them out again, at least until the problem occurs again.

Posted

Well, that was what they were supposed to be looking at.

I presumed a leak in one of the vacuum lines, the way the fault appeared and then continued.

They checked all the lines and found them OK (they look reasonably new) and checked the connections to the MAF, boost pressure sensor etc but couldn't find any faults so ran a diagnostic on it, couldn't say which machine but I do know that anything other than a Lexia has a serious struggle to make much sense of anything Citroen.

All that stuff was checked out last year too when I had a dud injector that took some tracing.

If if behaves itself I'm going to the CX/M rally in Little Horwood in two weeks so will get it Lexificated then. (Anyone from here going?)

Bernard making to outer Hebrides and back. (Will do pics at some point).

Started smoking when on the island but did the brave thing and ignored it. Looks like a hole in the brake servo.

But the van did the business. Was very comfy to sleep in.

The Outer Hebrides was amazing. Cant recommend it enough. Mainly because no one is there! Perfect sandy beaches all to yourself. In Jamaica they would charge a small fortune for them.

And also just found out that I am definitely moving to Aus next year. Got visa through so all systems go.. exciting times ahead.

Glad it went well The Moog - thanks for the picture message of Bernard on holiday! Get any more pics?

Good news about Oz as well. Enjoy!

I can't get youtube at the moment for some strange reason, but following a post about cows, I wonder if it was the chap in the twin seater aeroplane who knocked over a cow. Searching air crash and cow might bring it up. Always makes me giggle - apparently the cow got nothing more than a bit dizzy and pissed off.

here it is

Just found this car safety feature in a 1972 issue of Autocar, I can't see why it never caught on...

Autoshite.

It's really picked up a gear recently and everytime you log on there's another ace thread to read. Road trips, class cars and a barrel of laughs. Other forums could learn a great deal from this place.

I've made a pledge that as soon as I find employment I'm buying this. Only thing that slightly worries me is the song lengths - A Matter of Life and Death wasn't a bad album but didn't half drag on in places

It is indeed splendificent. I think it's gonna be on my car playlist for a few days.

Skodas park assist thingy makes me grin, for it rocketh mightily.

Seems bloody weird driving a car that parks itself though.

That restraint device doesn't look deadly at all. I also see it's a British company, I'm surprised it was designed in teak surround with vinyl/sponge backing.

Sitting reading this in the pub in Applecross while considering another pint, logging off, going outside and enjoying the sunshine.

Bought the 'Ska Mania' CD from some dodgy market seller type on holiday the other week and it's class.

Currently hooked on this track...

Ska is just class. I am a lecturer and all my students are about 16. When you play them some early two tone they all love it and have never heard of it before !

+101 on that. The Specials and The Selector are the providers of some orsumz croozin trax.

Trojans Ska box set is excellent - as well as the UK Ska revival stuff from the 70's and 80's, it also has a nice selection of early Jamaican ska. Lord Tanamo's cover of "I'm in the mood for love" is one of the most chaotic versions I have ever heard of this song but its fantastic nonetheless.

Also managed to get some half decent shite spotting done in Helsinki yesterday too. Separate thread and comments to follow in near future.

That is quite remarkable, My parents would never have let me buy a car at that age, they moaned enough then i bought a car at 17!

I hate to think what his insurance will be when he tries to actually run it once he's 17 though!

Freedom is making me grin. Goodbye 9-5. I'm now my own boss and pleasingly, work offers are already being hurled in my direction.

Also nice was just as I was leaving the office for the first time, a beautiful Daimler Straight 8 on wedding duty drove past. Bride looked quite nice too, though she did appear to be arguing with the chap in the back. Hope it wasn't her new hubbie... (maybe it was just nerves!)

The big question of the day is, Can Spoliers really make your Morris Marina 1.8 TC go any faster?, Lets have a look then.
