What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

I hit the rear light of my Leon to try and make it work.

I broke the lens.

Then I got pulled over by the police to tell me I had a broken tail light (in all fairness I'd just pulled out of a pub carpark so it was probably just an excuse to pull me for a whiff of my breath) and had to put on my best surprised face.

I've always been a heavy handed fecker, when I was about 14 my Dad had a Renault 12 courtesy* car from a garage. When he pulled up outside the house I noticed the n/s headlamp wasn't working.......

Still got the scar on my little finger, you don't get that with namby pamby plastic lenses. The garage didn't notice, when he returned it though.

Had a laugh at Sainsburys this afternoon. Some cock in his Aston Martin decides to use the last disabled space and then jog Into he store with his shirt half open and sun glasses on head. Less than a minute later, gormless bloke lets go of trolley whilst juggling two bags and a nipper. Trolley acts under the power of karma magnetics and falls into the side of cock boys Aston. I just looked at the other guy and he smirked. He dived into his car and headed off.

What's the betting 'cock boy' is on Pistonheads threatening to kill the 'jealous plebs'  who intentionally damaged his car?

Grin: Eighties concept cars.

When I win billions on the lottery I will drive a Lamborghini Athon when the suns out, and a Citroen Zabrus when it's not.

That is one of the most pointless things I've ever seen, but the fact that it exists has made me very happy.

been for a drive in the rover for the first time in a few weeks, just to the shops and back.

got in, and noticed that all the stuff out of the glovebox was in the door pockets, like, what the hell? my other half has been running about in it while i make do with using her gay little jeep for work.

open the glovebox to shove the road atlas and associated crap back away only it won't fit...

what the deuce is that in there??

so the othe rhalf has fitted the cd changer i bought last year, so now the radio plays cd's and tapes, thus meaning that i have rejoined the 1990's!!

turned out that the car, been an early longbridge car had the entertainment cabling already fitted so it was a case of just attaching the relevant plugs, and then reassemble.

and this was all done on the sly as a surprise for me, earlier this week before the weather went and got all cold and shitty again.

now i wonder if the wiring for cruise control is also already fitted, up behind the dash board?

Taken the roof off the Mazda and gone for a spin sans anything above me but sky! The car is a lot nicer to drive without the hardtop 'cos it rattles like a bastard. New mohair hood is green.... (OMG!) but as new so that's okay. But, I need to put the roof back on (nowhere to keep it here) and my mate over the road has gone out.

Please don't rain for the next few hours!

0845 number on fone

"oh well here goes, ppi/accident inever had?"

"hi i'm ***** from EE calling as you're loyal customer"

"are you aware of the promo for galaxy s7/7edge? today is last day for early delivery ordering etc..."

the upshot is the nice people are letting me have a shiny new fone with no upfront payment and it comes on tuesday instead of the 11th for everyone else

I keep getting the odd phone call from Sky as I have phone/internet with them. The keep trying to offer me cheap Sky TV, they get awfully confused when I point out I neither own a TV or plan to buy one...

Send it back, get it from Carphone Warehouse and you pay the same price plus get a free VR headset which is actually quite nice!

We had training on the S7 last week, the trainer dropped his and cracked the screen. We didn't laugh. Much*

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall wedding blessing today.

Here are some pics what I snapped.

The happy couple.

I'm getting the S7 Edge and VR headset at some point next week too! 5 years in the mobile industry and its one of few phones that excites me currently.

Anyway, my grin is that I am off to Rome on Monday with my mum, treating her to a holiday as she hasn't been abroad since 2009.

Here's hoping I can spot some stuff as good as what I saw the past couple of times:

Kinky girl has forgotten / forgiven the trifle incident. Or at least she's not said no to taking industrial quantities of jelly on future naughty weekend away.

It's ace sometimes when there is no one around and you can give it some.

After a moan in the grumpy thread yesterday about my Corsa, it found a buyer yesterday. They were really nice people and had bought it a cheap fixer-upper first car for their daughter. Just had a really nice message off them to say thanks and how happy she is with it. Clearly there are still some decent, non-moron people still out there on social media.

Ps I drank the proceeds of it last night and got really pissed which was great.

I've got the S6 Edge and it's rather bloody good.

Don't go today. I went down earlier but left when it started to get busy. Must have been over 500 bikes lined up. Then seen about 20/30 more on whatstandwell bridge. It then took me over an hour to get to hurt arms from a6 layby as there must have been a thousand various scooters, trikes, bikes etc made there way there. Protest ride at parking charges

Went for a bit of a bike ride earlier and was overtaken by a car I had to Google to find out what it was.

Caught it up later stuck in traffic, turns out it was an Alfa Romeo 4 C.

Class looking car which the driver gunned big time off some lights. It sounded ace but it did seem that it was a bit all noise and not much go to an extent.
