My son got day insurance (£40!) on my 306 and took his girlfriend to Knowsley Safari Park. I did try and warn him to pick her up a few streets from her actual house, but he didn't listen. Anyhow, I asked how it went and what she thought of the car and go 'she thought it was ok until I left it running for a few minutes and she couldn't see because the veg oil fumes made her eyes sting'

She managed to overcome this though and took this picture...

Made my day that has.

I haz survived V day with kinky girl. Gave her supermarket sweep of tat and a takeaway curry. She suggested we retire to the bedroom, and we slept for 3 hours solid. This fucking cold is killing both of us.

I've literally just stuck a polite but firm note on my next door neighbor's car. They park on the curb outside my house a couple of times a week.

It's an ugly, cheap little car and I don't like waking up to see it there! These people have a driveway of their own but they have too many vehicles so think they have the right to spread outside of their territory.

It makes me so angry. I'm not the type to make a fuss or cause conflict but I've had enough. I wouldn't dream of having the cheek to park outside someone else's house!

This was on a mumsnet type site full of parking raves. Imagine having that living next door :-D

I do have one of those up the road from me. Parking is very limited in my road; I often have to park a few hundred yards from my house; imagine the inconvenience!

They believe they have the right to park in front of their house. Told me I shouldn't be parking my 'shit cars' outside their house (they have an '08 Vectra, so have every right to look down their noses at me). Guess where I park as often as I can now?

What is so interesting about a photo of someone doing an oil and filter change at night ????

...The incompetence of other authorities at issuing driving licences.

Mrs Honda received her driving licence today. Exchanged from French (cat B+B1) to Irish. Comes back in a DVLA-stylee with addition AM + A1.

Ordered myself a new top described as "Hoody in Stone Marl" - it arrived yesterday and it's only a bloody beige cardigan !!!!!

It's a sign I tell you.......

Took my E46 in for an airbag recall today. The very nice meet and greet lady plied me and my other half with repeated drinks and biscuits and then we went and sat in lots of cars we can't afford and picked faults with them all, too dark, no electric memory seats, need more boot space etc etc. The car was ready before the stated time and they had even valeted it for us. :-)

Grump that turned to grin. Had a flood in the kitchen on sat morning. Water everywhere.

One of the stop valves was leaking and finally gave up the ghost. Fixed it by changing the washer.

Grin is was a) cheap fix b)the kitchen is now no longer damp.

I had assumed it was shit insulation but I now think it has been dripping for a long time

^On a similar note, my shower has not been working particularly well; I finally realised tonight that when I turned the water off, a week or so back whilst Alf has been doing some of the plumbing work, I had not turned it back on fully, but just cracked the valve open to check for leaks. I now have decent water pressure again

Tam, how do you go about this? The airbag light in my E46 has come on and I'd like to take it to BMW and get piled with drinks and biccies whilst they do magical things to my car and have it valeted.

On a grin note, met an old boy today who owns a Silver KV6 Sterling in Wolverhampton, told him about my KV6 Sterling and that I have parts if he ever needed any. Got pics of car naturally.

I miss my KV6 already...

I generally don't get excited by modified cars, but a friend showed me this on Saturday night and I have obsessively watched all 11 parts since then. It is pure engineering porn and two very funny guys making it.

We got a letter through the post saying it was due the recall but if you ring them up they can check if it has had it done. I have never been to an 'upmarket' dealers before (and only ever had work done once at a main dealer and that was freebie) and was surprised if I am honest. I expected tea and coffe but they had cans of soft drinks, juices and loads of other stuff. Then biscuits including good old kit kats, and as soon as our cups were empty we were offered a refill. Hoping we get more recalls now, or may just go and sit in there when it's busy......

I may* have gone the long way round to listen to a new album that I got into, was lovely, front in the valleys, sun on the hills, I even saw some cows and nearly hit a peacock!

LS, I purchased one of these to cure my light-mine had the common issue with the seat mat on the passenger seat throwing up the light.

I have the recall paperwork in the previous owners name, if one pops through the door in mine I'll maybe chase it up.

The famous* german classic car magazine "Oldtimer Markt" wants to have my green Pajero for a story about this model.  :happydance:

That makes me proud and happy.  :-)

Happy days Lukas, it has always looked a great example of the breed.

Also, completely off topic but have you still got the Leone?

I've driven over 700 miles in three days. Yesterday had some shocking traffic moments, as did Newtown (as usual) today. However, the motorway network was absolutely brilliant! Just zipped along for hours on end without really ever slowing down (bar the many MANY 50mph sections on the M1, but they kept at 50 all the way through pretty much, even in rush hour).

AND I got to join the A14 from the M6 without having to go through that stupid bottle neck. OMG. Actual positivity from driving!

I spent rather a lot of time in what many here would consider hell. A new car show room.
