How much did they cost when they were new? https://www.willhaben.at/iad/gebrauchtwagen/auto/peugeot-sonstige-305-gld-ds-202516293/ Great car! I really would love that. But not for that price...

Time to change your signature, I guess! Nice car. Looking forward to the repairs.
-
At least here, it would not be a write-off: Good condition 6400 - 8600 Euro for a good 525eta. And that prices are realistic. My brother in law is collecting E24 and E28, so I know a bit from his stories. I hope you get it repaired, not crushed.

Hohoho, strong words of a real man. With strategically placed women all around the world, just waiting for him to return. Hair on my chest starts growing even from reading this...

No, I´m saying I´d like to see a lot of old japanese cars like in many developing countries. Like Greece. But an Espero is good enough.
-
No japanese cars? This thread would be very disappointing*, if there were no Espero.
-
Looks extremely realistic!

It this car were an austrian-domestic-market Datsun for sale in Austria with austrian papers, it would go for ~ 2000€. To me, I guess.
-
That´s fabulous, this one! I´d love that to drive around in it. Sadly, this model was not available in Austria.

At least one of them does honest work it seems. The one with the VW T5.
-
That looks very, very grim.

It seems, the Espero is able to conquer even the MB W126 when it comes to the sound of its doors closing: What it until the end to know... Oh, and I might start to visit Jazz-clubs: I have to admit, at the beginning I thought some korean lady would start a striptease when I heard that music...

When Daewoo came to Austria in 1995, this TV-spot was in television all the time: It´s from Jennifer Rush and she is singing "Daewoo and you, a friendship begins". All I remember is, it was extremely annoying. The youtube-spot is from Germany, but we had the same spot in Austria back then.
-
I did not know that, thanks for the info! I´ll have to look that up on the interweb to find out a bit more about it´s history.
-
Oh, I forgot to mention: I am prepared for the day the repaired Espero comes into my life!
-
That´s the only picture he sent me to prove it´s secure now. And in good company with a 230E W124. And: No, these are not the usual panel-gaps on an early Daewoo, the bonnet is open! Honour bright!

Today was the day, my brother in law collected the Espero with a beaver-tail car transporter. All he said on the phone is that the car looks and feels like it has 21.000km on the clock, but the inside is dirty like 400.000km. But he reckons it´s just dirty, nothing that could not be washed away with a cleaning cloth and some elbow-grease. He says the engine runs fine, he has driven it a few minutes around a private track and did not tell anything unexpected. He steering-column can be repaired he said, but he will have to get it out, weld it and get it in there again. That wont happen too soon, but now the car is stored dry and secure in the garage. Lukas

Will Z3's become desirable/classic (expensive)?
Lukas replied to The Reverend Bluejeans's topic in AutoShite
In german-car-land (Germany + Austria), prices for the Z3 are rising. Even for the small 1.8 versions. Z3M Roadster or Coupes are > 30.000€ and rising too. -

Designo Bertone! I´ll tell you how miserable it feels on the road. Could be some month, but I´ll keep you updated.

They did not invent that annoying "SUV for the city-jungle"-thing for the recent SUVs. The Yankees did that in the 80s...
