Current driveway situation is agreeably eclectic

Great to meet you @Austin-Rover

It'll be with me for a while, until  @chodweaver finds space for it 😄

CBeebies isn’t as riveting viewing as it once was, and that’s why I’m here.

Last time I checked it was a horrifying fever dream of a channel.

It’s not too bad.

I’m watching Go Jetters at the moment and learnt the Easter Island heads are called mowi. Didn’t know that.

My kids (well, particularly the autistic+ADHD one) often tell me stuff I have absolutely no idea how they've learned.  Love it.

Not there yet but he has been watching Christmas Carol all year and will tell you the story. Especially the end when he says “the frog opens the door, then Scrooge says ‘Bob crechit’”.

The memory astounds me. We will read a book and he will flip through the pages and will tell you the gist of the story.

When are you teaching him data science so he can make billions of pounds gaming the stock market? Securing you him a nice early retirement

I told him the other week when he threw a tantrum at the farm supplies shop because I wouldn’t let him near the toy section that it was closed because Santa was doing a stock check to make sure he had enough presents for the kids at Christmas.

So he now has some understanding of stock control and supply/demand. The numbers part will have to come from his mother.

They've done quite a good job of knowing exactly what they're doing while pretending they're innocent and have no idea

I’d have gone to Norfolk before if I knew the scenery was so spectacular.

Images of cars on a race circuit with the sign Snetterton above the track, with a range of snow-capped mountains in the background.

I’ve just remembered I have been to snetterton for the 24hrs du 2CV. Probably 20 years ago, which is why I don’t remember the Andes!

My sister has messaged that my youngest niece would like some Lego for Christmas. She is unimpressed with my first suggestion, but my brother in law is thrilled.

Yay, disco has a clean MOT pass. Not bad for 25 years old. Also a win for buzzweld paint considering 5 years ago it had advisory for all chassis & body corroding. No rust yet!

I’m not normally a fan of roadworks and traffic lights but I’m very happy to see these here. I’ve been waiting for this work to be done for over a year. It’s to run a 11kV power cable under the street.IMG_7271.jpeg.7e5600cf43e9a454f072ca9043c38d6c.jpegIMG_7277.jpeg.5c357efd1e14ca84bb343ff0212eac30.jpeg

Bloody hell, how long is the change on that red?  You've been sat there since 1950something by the look of things!

To celebrate my not-quite-60th birthday, Domestic Management took me out to lunch; we decided on a carvery at a garden centre.  The full horror of the implications struck us as we ate, surrounded by the demographic typical of such places, and we realised that the inevitable next step was either a Saga cruise or a week at a Warner hotel!

I'm completely with Dylan Thomas on this...
