Nice to be thanked

couple of months ago stuck a jacket on the grandparents hot water cylinder

theyve told me how grateful they are for it, apparently they’ve still got hot water the next morning after having the heating on overnight

they also thanked me for actually bothering with them, I’m the only one in the family who actually does

Missing a 'not' there, perhaps?

Bought new headlamp bulbs to replace the worn out candles that were in the CRV. Removal/refitting went as follows.
Open bonnet.
Locate headlamps, one left, one right. Nothing to remove, right there in front of me.
Pull off little plastic cover.
Pull off connector.
Ping off spring clip holding bulb in place.
Remove bulb.
Re-installation, as Haynes manuals like to say, is the reverse of removal. And repeat for other side.

Took almost as long to type that out as it did to do. I love 90s cars...

btw, Philips X-treme Vision Pro150 bulbs are a decent upgrade for under £20.

Are you sure they don't have an account on here? 😏

Further to my recent grump about eBay deliveries being screwed up - I lost one of my Torx spanners recently (think I left it under the bonnet of the Merc 😖), ordered a replacement off eBay at 3pm yesterday afternoon and it dropped through my letterbox at 9:30 this morning.  Which is bloody impressive by anyone's standards.

I'm down to just 2 pieces of artwork to clear by the 1st of December to have all of my backlog of work from being ill cleared.  I won't hit that deadline, but I'll come really close, I reckon I'll be a week over.  Huge sense of achievement really.

As I've been getting better it's allowed me to get out of the trenches and actually take some action on making my business more streamlined, and identifying problems.  Perhaps I needed my health to absolute collapse to give me some perspective.  I can see a way out now, I just have to be patient with everything.  December is going to be slow, it always is, and right now that's a good thing.  I can do a light overhaul of the website, have already overhauled my systems for keeping track of updates, and figured out some stuff I can chop out that were wasting time and not earning me anything.

I'm feeling more positive about my future today than I have in a while, even though I still don't have any definitive answers as to what actually happened to my health.  I feel like I can manage it and move forward safely again.

That's fantastic. It deserved an 8 pot from the outset, and that setup certainly wouldn't disappoint...

Major surgery but worthy end result. Shame about the exhaust outlet treatment though.

In a main Mercedes dealership just now with 2 female service advisors on the front desk. Not sure what the start of the conversation was but as I walked past 1 said "I'm lucky, my boobs are still quite perky and not droopy, but I haven't had kids"

Today I got the news that my current fixed term job role has received approval to be made permanent. I’m a very happy chap as a result!

Was writing a massive rant in the grumpy thread about the local heating firm not showing up, and midway through, they did! I clearly need to start typing rants more.
