Do we have a thread for shit people found on social media?

Been doing some decorating in the utility room and bought a new bulb for the ceiling light - you can see it in the shit picture below:

Absolutely! The turny dial or slidey knob (stop it) is perfectly acceptable functionality in a vehicle. A three speed fan is adequate. Heated seats are a nonsense. Reversing sensors an extravagance. Touchscreen dashboards a danger...

Nail on the head apart from the heated seated, with a knackered back they're a real bonus to me.

Luckily the people getting rid were very friendly so myself and the fella dismantled it and in it went! That's my afternoon sorted! Will fix the crack another day, few rivets and some stout plastic/scrap metal offcut will sort that

Half an hour and many euros at the jetwash and years of crud and green slime has been removed from the Buick. It looks to be in better Nick than I thought.

So I read online that if a V70 TDI suffers an EML illumination, taking it for a blast or two can make it go out.

That advice is correct. No more EML for me.

Finally got time this morning to do the pads on Imp’s Jag, the wife has been giving me grief about it not moving very much as I haven’t wanted to put any major miles on it as such before swapping them over.

Refreshingly easy.

Wheel nuts a screwdriver, 7mm bolt and not much else. Oh, and a burn barrel because I was cold :)

I had 7 pints last night. Woke up with a totally unjustified level of hangover considering that level of drinking, especially with a meal. I suspect that I shouldn't have had draught cobra at the curry house. Don't think their pipes were quite up to standard.

Anyhow the grin is that there are full episodes of Brainiac Science Abuse on YouTube to nurse me through the pain.

Jags tend to be easy to work on as the parts are 'adult sized'.

Pausing for photos today at Swansea Airport, I parked up next to this Aero Delfin - the Skoda Rapid 130 of military aircraft.

I knew it was a cold war era Czech jet trainer, popular these days for aerobatics. I didn’t know (but Wikipedia has just told me) they were used by the Egyptians in combat in the Yom Kippur War.

I especially didn’t know, but am delighted to learn, that they can run on 100% veg.

This.  Especially with leather.  Getting into an unheated leather seat first thing in the morning when it's been -8 all night is not pleasant.

You used to be able to pick up those L29s for about £30K in working order - don't know if that's still the case now...

Got a trip planned this year for our 20th wedding anniversary, we will be going through 9 countries and ending up in Russia over 15 days. With my medical issues I always make sure we are insured and expected to get pounded based on the number of countries and the B word meaning EHIC could be a non starter, but no, only £80 with my ailments declared. That’s seems a bargain to me.

My wife did that as well, paid a fortune for 2 chandelier lights for the living room, only they're that bright we had to buy lamps to match as you need to wear a baseball cap to sit in there when they're on

that needs sent to Big Clive for autopsy!

I've not plugged it in , the shielded earth pin was an indicator it might not go well, it came with a battery charger claiming to be genuine canon , I asked to return it and they just refunded straight away.

The two are quite likely related.

Can you fit a dimmer switch to them?

Had an offer on our house yesterday for the full asking price.  Buyers have no chain and are an attorney and doctor so sale should go through no issues.

This is making me grin as it's one step closer to moving back to the UK and joining the SVM.
