What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

I know I’m 20 years early, but I just saw this online. It’s in a disabled spot, have the cunts in PT Cruisers moved on?

I’m going to ignore the window bollocks, I don’t think that the car bra is going to work... and what exactly are his fake vents cooling?

Whats the significance of the disabled bay?

Whats the significance of the disabled bay?

Sorry if that came across as offensive, it’s an old hang-up from Barry Boys. As the stick-on accessory warriors are generally parked in disabled bays.

Ah fair enough. I used to work in town with a bay outside and there were some genuine horrors there some days.

Sod the rain

I was there earlier. My mates daughter wasn't so keen on the rain though and was a bit miserable and cold so we came back at the end of the melee. Hopefully the weather will be better next time it's on.

We sat through both. I really wanted to see the jousting and at the end he said that that was the only time they'd done the melee this weekend so although a bit wet it was worth it.

Watching Oliver! with my four year old daughter, she was utterly transfixed during the " Who will by?" scene.

Is this the perfect film?

I expect I’ll take some serious stick for this but...

The Expendables.

They are the perfect films. It’s got everything. Big names from the era of great action films, guns, bombs, explosions, people getting blown away, crashes...

What more could you ask for!

What a total piece of shit.

The Citroen, that is.  Probably the driver too.

It's possible that's a motobility car? Anyway those bays take a couple of years to paint out once the entitlement to them is gone (round here anyway)

Very good, but Mary poppins is perfect ( if you ignore dick van dykes cockenany accent).

Decent dialogue and a plot?

Anyway, the answer is always Smokey And The Bandit.

Not suitable for children which I assumed was the premise.

Runaway bride getting disrobed in the car to start with,

If not children friendly fare then there’s a lot of choice.

Nonsense, ITV used to show a sanitised one when I was a kid with comically-bad dubbing over the swearing. Almost as comical as the dubbed engine for the Trans-Am.

I have seen Oliver! many times, but I never seem to tire of it, the songs are great, the cast is great, Fagin is magnificent.

Perhaps the only weak link is the lad that plays Oliver.

Smokey and the Bandit is great, mainly for the Sheriff. But it wouldn't hold my daughters attention for a second.

Dick van Dyke was on tv not that long ago laughing about his own accent when he filmed that! I’m sure it was on the news.

The plot is to kill everything. Anything surviving gets blown up!

I was at the Premier for 'Oliver' when I were a lad, how's that for a claim to fame?

Bonus points here for the yellow number plate bolt to make it look like DEK rather than DEH!

Just show them Twin Town.

Just show them Twin Town.

Ha,I went to see that in the cinema in Swansea on the opening weekend. Iirc, it was mainly interspersed with people shouting "that's my house", "that's me mam" etc.

Dinky-dooey railway indeed :D

That’s a documentary though, isn’t it?

^^^ that was both funny and a shame! The caravan, not your arm.

If you want a great verging on classic movie, with well, most things that make a great Expendables type movie, but with a strong plot, try 'Layer Cake'. It is said it got Daniel Craig the bond films (and has a much better plot than any of them!)
