Just found this: me, about 1979, carbon-arc brazing. Still got the SIP welding transformer.

Beetle went to Dad in'81, then Mum had it until about '86 so the repairs lasted ok.

Amongst it all was this beauty, a 20 gallon, 1.5hp air compressor. I dragged it home and today I gave it the once over and then plugged it in. It only flipping worked, SCORE.

 

Checked the specs online and it should be good for most air tools (7.3 CFM@90PSI and 7.9 CFM@40PSI) and as a bonus found out that these retail for just under $1000

Decided to get the train back to Manchester from Kings Cross and go via York instead of going to Euston, hate that place, and Pendolinos.

East Coast train to York has broken a/c in two carriages so they declassified one of the first carriages. As such I'm sitting here in a big leather recliner with a massive table to myself
