I am on a classic cars for sale page on Facebook and this is up for £9k.

I didn't believe it was possible to build an entire vehicle out of wob before but here I am being proved wrong.

So, the daughter hit 16 a few months back. Tonight her boyfriend is staying over for the first time. Being cool parents, we've had the chat and also went out earlier to buy a bit of protection. No, not waxoyl.

So we're stood at Tesco checkouts, not having had the chat yet, paying for a bit of shopping including beer and condoms. Mrs_Pillock sticks the condoms in the bag and for SOME BIZARRE REASON says to nobody in particular "Not really looking forward to having to do this". Except the checkout lass hears, looks at what's just gone in the bag and kind of gives us both the WTF look.

I had my East Coast Retros car meet tonight, considering the crap weather we got a good turn out and everyone had a great time.

It was good to meet the very nice and very tall Bfg who kindly lent me his umbrella and it was nice to see Dugoug again who drove down from Peterborough in the Xedos 6 which reminded me of a saloon version of a Ford Probe, it was very quiet! We had a little drive of a Mk2 Mondeo 2.5 V6 Ghia X Estate auto, i know want another Mondeo V6 again!

I've just read the advert it has apparently " everything you need to go campervanning" except there's no mention of an on board cludgey nor whether it would be holding up commercial vehicles on the motorway...

A 1600cc 50hp aircooled engine propelling that amount of wob around? You would be holding up a funeral procession with that.

Imagine the brown streaks which will appear the first time that tupperware pot looking heap sees some rain. The guy should be punting it as self ratlooking and ask a couple more grand.

They are all like that sir, one of the 'joys' is the always empty road stretching out in front for as far as the eye can see, just tilt the mirrors down and you can't see the poor buggers suffering in the two mile long queue behind you. I had one for a while and they are hateful things, I sold it for many reasons, one of which was that despite buying it to go camping in, it was at the beginning of the dub fashion crap and we kept getting idiots dressed thirty years too young telling us we should lower it or put shit on the roof. Why? We want to go camping not look like idiots.

I spent years in the VW scene and would still rather a nice practical LDV or Bedford CF than anything Type 2 for camping.

The way to do it is strip out and increase power.

Minor win, just happened to be perusing my BT account and realised I could get option 2 infinity for £2 a month more than my standard adsl connection

Silly thing was, the option 1 infinity which is slower and has a £49 activation fee was the same price as option 2 with no activation...let me think about that for a second

So superfast shiteing from 7th September

Spent the day with a couple of mates and two Triumph 1300FWD's.

Visited Coventry to help my mate make the interior of his rather lovely 1300FWD look spiffing again.

Good old Cif! He hadn't quite realised how grubby the seats had become and was a very happy chap with the seat and door card cleaning outcome.

Piccies of the cars tomorrow!

Not sure of this is a Grump or a Grin - Bit of both I guess -

My Forester's water pump packed in late Wednesday evening , garage being busy , couldnt fit me in till Friday Morning - Wrong pump turned up ..................... And

The day of the angry Mechanic .

So , here was the plan, get to the garage for 7.30 AM, Mechanic Paul, was to open up extra early on the premise this bloody water pump would turn up and get it on and all put back together for about 9.00 ish ......That was the plan .......

8,00AM as promised parts guy turns up , and a youthful sort bounds out and enters the workshop, ''Heres your water pump. Guessed you wanted it after all?''

I looked at Paul , and he walked over , and then the plan fell apart.

''Thats the water pump I sent back! ''

''Yes I know the kid said, but its got '''Return''' on the invoice ''

I sensed a coldness emerge , and the skies darken even more than it was already.... And I witnessed full blown Mechanic rage .....

''I f&cking know its got return on it, I f&cking wrote it, RETURN as in No f*cking good. Wrong f&cking one. Where's the right f*cking one?..''

The kid now looked confused and quite scared , and shook his head, ''I dont know''

''FOR F*CKS SAKE, I got up f*cking early to open this f$cking place up , so that F&cker standing over there can have his F^cking car back to go to a F$cking show, and you f&cking retarded c/7nt cant be f^cking arsed to check before giving me this worthless bit of shit back to me''

''Now F%ck off and get me my f/8cking part of by f$cking Jesus I will ram the bastard thing up you f$cking arse you thick C%nt....''

I just picked up two empty mugs and said ''Cuppa Tea Paul ?''
and fecked off to the kitchen before I witnessed a murder .....

It did eventually turn up at 11.00AM , and they used a different guy to drop it off, Guessed the young kid was in therapy

Just got back from circus zyair with my family, went along on the grounds the nipper would love it and I would probably be a bit bored, but it was absolutely fantastic. I haven't seen a circus in over thirty years and can't remember the last one but this one was awesome. The finale was a triple bike stunt in a ball cage where the bottom half of the cage went down with the three bikes circling the top half. The tight rope guy did a trick I can only describe as a bunny hop over a woman whilst on the tight rope. Well worth the entrance fee.

VW scene shite spotted today on my travels. But look what's in the background, a C6! French registered and I wanted to get a better pic but The French were sitting in it.

Accidently kept level from a set of lights with a hard charging past its prime Audi S2. (It must have been knackered) I was bringing the oldies back from Southend for a Rossi (Ice cream) and his face on seeing a station wagon whose three passengers combined age totalled 247 years was a picture.

Probally akin to my own when I heard my 90 year old Nan say "Don't let him beat you!"

You can take your Nan out Romford, but you can't take the Romford out of your Nan!

Been having a clearout the last week,a declutter you might say. Bike gear sold, some old hifi stuff sold and I raised nearly 600 quid! Trying hard not to waste it on some old chod and pay the credit card off instead!

Oh and dragged a battered roll cab out the skip at work, a quick clean up and its in the shed as damn useful storage.

A fairly accurate snapshot of any day from last week.

My lass and I undertook a 1200 mile round trip to visit her Mum and Dad at their home/B&B in La Vernouille (southboundbandb.co.uk in case you wondered)

The Micra didn't miss a beat but it did test the resolve of our asses.

Tis good to be out me duck. The best bit was sharing time with my lass, our careers rarely allow us more than 1.5 days a week together, the Micra gave us 14.25 hours on the outward leg and 12 hours on the return as well as the rest of the week.

I think too much time in my company has rubbed off on her (fnarr fnarr..), without prompting she papped this:

Took Kinky Girl for a day out at blists hill victorian town. A bit far at 2 1/2 hours drive, but worth it. Lots of huge things in steam, and I tried my best to make her feel special. For once I didn't balls up a day out.
