Like tiktok, the algorithm learns quickly what you like and keep watching/viewing. Then feeds more the same to keep you engrossed in the app.

Basically it's saying you really like viewing cars and half naked women more than anything else ...

That's the trouble though, it's hard not to click on a half naked woman once, and then it goes he he got ya!

Gateway drug to Onlyfans basically.

Removed the PAS pump.

Things I found on the way:

HBOL really is a liar. They wanted me to remove coolant and the radiator hose to access one of the bolts, and disconnect the fuel rail to access another. I found through Robert DIY that I could remove the bolts to the plate this was installed to instead.

In doing this, I had to remove the tensioner, which needs a new bearing by the sounds and feel of it.

The horns magically disintegrated. Still figuring that one out.

Installing the new pump tomorrow. Hopefully.

My daughter and her friend found this over the park yesterday and brought it home.  No idea what it used to be as it’s well stripped but I’m guessing it’s only of those shite Chinese mini-motos that the police like to seize and crush. I might salvage a few odds and ends before I chuck it on the scrap pile.

Please turn it into one of these and delivery it to the Field of Dreams!

Went to the pub this evening, my Rover made a friend. Couldn't park directly next to it in case it caught the highly contagious OMGHGF

FTFY :)

Pair of beauties tho :)

Bought a diesel heater. Same style that a lot of folk on here have. Thanks @SiCfor your thread on it a while back. Finally convinced me 😁.

I figure it might be more economical than running my electric fans in the garage come winter although I'll need to see who will actually sell me red diesel in small quantities (20litres) as I believe it's still ok to buy for heating property.

It's alright, my R8 is vaccinated for that, with the Honda D16 vaccine. 😁

You can still run it off white diesel just more expensive. My local garage with cherry is apply for planning for houses unfortunately, so I may be loosing my source. However at £1.30/l it's still very pricey.

As I'm on 22.2p/kWh fixed price electricity, it may be cheaper for me to run an electric heater this year! I need a juicer power feed though as I suspect my present 16A feed will be insufficient for heat and welding.

Rough calc:

One litre diesel is roughly 10kWh of energy. 40% efficiency in a heater brings to 4kWh. At £1.30 a litre that's 32.5p/kWh.

So potentially electric heating may be cheaper this year for me (because fixed priced electricity).

It probably will be. I pop the 16A breaker my welder is connected to all too often. I'm sure bumping the size up to 20 would be alright, but as the circuit isn't a ring and is wired in 2.5mm cable, I'm fairly sure that's the highest current breaker I can put on it.

Yeah, I'm still 23p/ kWh till end of February, so I'll call it a long term investment!

I've never popped the breaker with my welder. That circuit also has 200w of led lights, desktop PC and a small air compressor running. Plus grinders and battery chargers. Only thing that pops it is my big compressor - that I need a new feed for with a breaker that can take motor starts properly.

Possibly helps that I have an inverter welder. Far more efficient than pure transformer based and probably easier on the power supply with less inductive spikes and what not.

It's the want of having the bigger compressor running and a spot welder that makes me really want a juicer supply in. Just added expense.

Exactly that. B curve breakers don't take current spikes from inductive loads very well.

Are there any Bongo or Freda owners on here .....

I am trying to bump up interest in a set of 4 alloys with winter tyres fitted . I am going to see them tomorrow so will try and get some pictures and tyre details.

Watch this space ....

Mounted it out the road beside the vent, so I could get an exit for the exhaust. Need to get a couple of battery clamps and a switch for a more professional* setup, but otherwise done.

The Vito went, don't think I'll ever have another of those to keep, it was shit. Sod's law, of course, dictated that we fixed the non-starting problem before it was sold.

Anyhow, as wonderful as the Expert is, you can't get bigger bikes in the back and big(ger) vans are more useful for shit, so when this popped up for sale through a friend of a friend, it seemed a no-brainer...

No photo description available.

...every single one of these seems to have a dent in the sill area on the n/s, must be a blind spot or something. It drove home ok, but I hear with my little ear some unexpected noises in the 6th gear area when doing 'motorway speeds'. They key also broke, so that's been a palaver alright.

Despite those issues it was later improved several fold after a visit to the spares department...

May be an image of text that says "LEAST IT' NOT AN IVECO"

Further news about a Skoda Labia with totally invisible* body repairs and a Toyota Aygo that's trying to bankrupt me to follow.

Surely you can find sufficient dubious bits about it to put her off?

My wife went to see her while I had my Saturday post-work snooze. The likelihood of a brake line being rotten may well burst was sufficient. That and a less than spectacular MoT history instantly made me think of it as a death trap. Trouble is sis-in-law is very headstrong so may well go and buy it anyway, and I know that will end in tears.

@Supernaut and @dome came over to the unit today to give me a hand with the Oxford.

We got a load done, and I'm feeling much more motivated to gitter dun and get it on the road for a bit this year😁

After some cryptic texts and an unexpected phone call, I'm looking at a car tomorrow. It's rather promising on paper.
