Ooohhh a stoke registered fester, by any chance does it have its dealer plates? I can't see a sticker in the window, I want to know if it was from king ford, I've got a thing for local to me registered shite

What's its fate, is she looking to sell or just happy to have it as a garden ornament to look at reminiscing?

Plates are from some local car sales place, she bought it second/third hand. She is looking to sell from when I last spoke to her. I will mention the interest.

Thanks. I’ve been LHM up until now!

It goes odd on higher numbers though. I'm not sure on it but I think Dot5 doesn't mix with lower numbers but Dot5.1 does...

Any time you mix them treat it as the lower spec used, so a mix of Dot3 & Dot4 or just Dot4 is fine in a Dot3 system but might boil to easy in a Dot4 system.

Dragged myself under the 2CV to drop the fuel tank again. New sender seal, a new bit of pipe to go from tank to main fuel line and bingo! No more fuel leak. Phew.

It's not really what I should have been doing - I should be checking the Invacar over ahead of the roadtrip - but I'm glad it's done.

I'm very pleased to report that the dance show in the massive theatre that I was asked to be Deputy Stage Manager for passed off well.  All are happy, etc.

I can now afford a new clutch on the Golf as a result.

Found the "cure" to the Doloshite's hot start issue. When it conks out I now run around the front and blast a liberal dose of Easy Start into the air filter, that gives it enough oomph to fire up and pump some fuel through the lines.

On the other hand the singing of the big ends is getting quite alarming.

Top stuff! Glad it worked out and we'll:)

Shows you can do it - enjoy!

Thanks mate.  Got to be honest, I was cacking it but the Stage Manager I was working with has been doing it for 30-odd years, so that helped!  Went a bit wrong on the first run yesterday but just about held it together.  Smashed it tonight.

Back to the day job tomorrow...

The Glamis Extravaganza had glorious weather this year. Walked past the site where the new flat I’m buying is and noticed that one of the 4 bed terraced cottages has a for sale sign in the window again, sale must’ve fallen through

Going to see the agent in the morning to see how much it’ll cost me to pull out of one purchase and start another.... eek

Fuck this shit is so stressful. House is available (it’s absolutely the dream property for our current situation, far more so than the flat i have almost bought) but the agent needs to check whether the developer is happy to transfer my initial deposit to it.

He’s also unsure whether it’s eligible for Help to Buy which might put a dampener on things.... waiting game now!

House buying is the most stressful occupation ever ! Time the government got a grip on the whole process - not that they ever will of course, the legal profession makes far too much money from property conveyancing, and the government a fortune from stamp duty. Hope it all goes well for you Kiltox.

Hi folks - 95% confirmed that I will be driving Herne Bay to St Ives (via Exeter) next Monday 16th July.  I'm delivering my Fusion to an aunt of mine on a reverse collection. On a fairly tight schedule, but please let me know if you have any shitely needs I can assist with going East to West.

Yo. Found some potential storage but requires maybe aome shiter sharing. Next to my mates is a rather long old works unit that is up for rent now. It's located in Blackheath, West Midlands if anyone is interested and right next door to my mates garage. Here are some details.

A weekends worth of welding and handbrake cable/shoes replacement resulted in a fresh ticket for the 335.

Now to get it serviced and working!

I am picking up the R21 in a few hours so had a look at day insurance. £44 for two days. Fuck off.

I just bought an annual policy in the end. £595 which may sound strong but it's the lowest 'normal' quote I have ever had. I just lumped it on the credit card as again, monthly payments are so tiresome.

Audi insurance is all paid off anyway, somehow my insurers haven't ever called me up and asked wtf I'm doing with so many amendments. In actual fact it resulted in them refunding me £6 when I changed it this time.

So now I have three cars insured for less than one cost when I passed my test in 2016.

At Le Mans for the classic. Brilliant weekend but phone kept dying in the heat. Worked long enough this morning to get one photo of the group before my visitors left for the UK. I am staying on for a couple of weeks or so with the Bentley

Car’s all set for France, have missed the Le Mans Classic, and will miss the Tour de France by a day. But will be there tomorrow when they play in the World Cup, and Saturday for bastille day.
